I’m thanking God that He gave me a new mind, allowed me to follow Him and do His will. I’m thankful and grateful to God that He would use me. I have the privilege to witness, to teach, to preach to people who were just like me.”

75 YEARS OF TRANSFORMING LIVES and Building Hope

Then & Now - A Story of God’s Faithfulness from Then Until Now Lloyd’s father died when he was a very small boy and he was given a home in Father Flanigan’s Boys’ Town, but ran away at the age of nine. After growing up on his own, he married early but then his wife passed away leaving him with two babies. He ‘hit the skids’; but one night in 1955, he drifted into Union Gospel Mission. Here he met the Lord Jesus Christ and his life was completely changed. He returned to his children to become both father and mother to them, and was happy in his new life in Christ Jesus. He continued to visit the Mission several times after that night in 1955.
