Robbie and Deborah announced as Prom King, Queen by Camden Ostrander

This year’s prom sent the seniors off in spectacular fashion. As students came to the dance, numerous Richard Montgomery administrators and personnel were there to guide them to the dance. With the theme of “A Night in Paris,” decorations were set to make the Hilton Rockville Hotel seem like a beautiful Parisian night. The atmosphere was energetic as students streamed in through the large Arc de Triomphe at the entrance, and the energy rose as the night went on. There was fierce competition among the Prom Court, but in the end, there could only be one Prom King and Queen. Robert André Barletta was crowned Prom King, and Deborah Gross was crowned Prom Queen. The winners were both excited about the honor, and there was a lot of applause for the two of them. After the negative reaction to the music at homecoming, many students were pensive about the music that would be played at prom, however the music this time was received much better. Minor technical difficulties reduced the volume for only a few minutes, but other than that, the DJ did a great job of keeping the crowd going.
