THE VINE

F R O M T H E B A S I L E U S
As we step into 2025, I am filled with excitement and gratitude for the incredible journey that lies ahead Together, we will embrace our chapter theme for the 2025-2026 sorority year: Building on Our Legacy, Leading with Vision, Empowering Every Pearl for the Future This theme encapsulates our commitment to honoring our storied past while boldly preparing for an extraordinary future
This year, our primary focus will be on building upon our legacy of sisterhood and service It is essential for us to familiarize ourselves with the vision and mission of TMO, asking ourselves: Who are we as a chapter? What defines our culture, and how do we preserve our rich heritage while adapting to the evolving needs of our community? To achieve this, we will refocus on our foundational documents, ensuring we are aligned with the guiding principles that have brought us this far
Let’s refresh our meeting appearance and renew our commitment to adhering to the TMO chapter dress code, setting a standard of pride and professionalism. designed to foster casual and frequent engagement.
Beyond the formality, let us also prioritize sisterly connections by enjoying gatherings after chapter meetings and developing “Sister Squads” small groups designed to foster casual and frequent engagement. These initiatives will strengthen our bonds and remind us of the joy and power of our sisterhood To truly make a difference, we must take the time to understand the needs of our community and tailor our efforts toward impactful programming that meets those needs TMO has long been a shining beacon of community service and outreach, and this year will be no different. We will build on our legacy of making a positive impact, fulfilling our commitment to serve with purpose and compassion Let us continue to be the chapter that exemplifies unity and teamwork by fostering collaboration with other organizations. By supporting their initiatives and working together, we can amplify our collective influence, create meaningful partnerships, and maximize the impact of our shared efforts for the greater good Together, we will demonstrate that TMO is a chapter that leads with vision, heart, and a spirit of service.
Every Soror has a vital role to play. Whether by volunteering, donating time, money, or resources, each contribution moves us closer to our shared goals Together, we can make 2025 a year to remember a year where every Pearl shines brightly.
As we celebrate 117 years of service to all mankind on January 15th, let us reflect on the founding of our illustrious sorority Through decades of triumphs and challenges, we have weathered the test of time and emerged more united, resilient, and dedicated than ever. This anniversary is a testament to the strength of our sisterhood and the enduring legacy of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated
Thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm, and unwavering dedication Let’s step boldly into this new year, united in purpose and passion The best is yet to come!
Sisterly,
TerrinaScott

Greetings Sorors,
Welcome to the New Year! As we enter into a new year filled with aspirations, let’s remember to build in time for reflection, recharge and rest
Theta Mu Omega ended 2024 strong with our major service project at Good Shepherd Manor serving food and bringing fellowship to many residents. Let’s continue the tradition of serving our most needing populations while enjoying sisterhood.
With that, January brings us Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service. The Strengthen Our Sisterhood committee is working hard to ensure it’s the best one yet! Mark your calendar for January 20th for our event and other collaborative opportunities
In order to better support the 2022-2026 SOAR program initiatives, we will have specific committees dedicated to each initiative. The following initiatives are in need of chairs and/or co-chairs:
Empower Our Families
Build Our Economic Wealth
Enhance Our Environment
Uplift Our Local Community
TMO also needs chairs and co-chairs for the following committees:
Seasoned Sorors Concerns
Black Heritage
Chapter Relations
