Quilters of Sutton

We are a small group of patchwork and quilters that meet on the first Thursday of the month (except January), from 7.30 to 9.30pm at The Trinity Centre, Maldon Road, Wallington, SM6 8BL.

We welcome visitors for up to 3 visits (£4 per visit) before deciding if you would like to join the group.

WALLINGTON FARMERS MARKET

Saturday 10 December 2022 (check our website for updates). 9am 1pm.

Old Town Hall & Library Gardens, Wallington, SM6 3DE

Visit the borough’s oldest Farmer’s Market and hosts around 28 local producers stalls each month, offering a range of local produce including meat, fish, cheeses and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Beeches Yulefest

Friday 2 December from 4.30 to 8pm on Banstead Road, Carshalton Beeches by the shops

A fantastic opportunity to meet up for some festive fun with friends, family and people from the local community. It is an opportunity to support local shopkeepers, many of whom will be open late, as well as a range of different stallholders.

Featuring performances from local groups and schools, as well as the Crystals Elite Cheerleaders who will be opening the event at 4.30pm at the same time as the switching on of the Christmas Lights. In addition, there will be a whole host of food and drink outlets, as well as approximately 30 stalls providing gifts, food and entertainment. Money raised will be shared between two local charities.

Road closures: local residents should be aware that from 3.30 will be closed between Willis Avenue and Hill Road/Harrow Road to ensure everyone enjoys the event safely. In addition, and new for this year no waiting or parking will be allowed along Beeches Avenue from Crichton Road to Staplehurst Road.

Wallington Evening Townswomen’s Guild Invites ladies to come along to our December monthly meeting. We will be celebrating with Christmas music around the piano in the Mallinson Room at Wallington Library on Tuesday 6th December 19:30pm 21:30pm Entrance via the Shotfield side door, £3 including tea/coffee and a mince pie. In January instead of our regular meeting we will enjoy an evening meal at a local restaurant. If you would like to know more Contact Jill 0208 647 0801

Purley Lit meets in the Purley URC Church, 906 Brighton Road, Purley, CR8 2LN at 8pm on alternate Tuesdays.
