All ads are due three buisiness days before the ad is scheduled to run. For instance, an ad running Monday should be turned in the Wednesday before; an ad running on Thursday should be turned in the Monday before. This gives the advertising staff time to place ads and make any last-minute adjustments that may be needed.

If The Sunflower is designing an ad for you, all information needs to be turned in one week prior to the publication date. This allows our design staff to create an ad, recveive approval and still meet the paper’s deadline.

Please make checks payable to The Sunflower. Advertisers also have the option to pay online via credit card. Ask an advertising representative for more information.

• All ads will be posted at 12:01 am on the assigned start date, and will be removed at 11:59 pm on the scheduled end dagte of the advertisment.

• The Sunflower reserves the right to deny any advertisment that does not allign with Wichita State University’s code of conduct.

•The minimum contract agreement for an online ad is one week (7 days).

•All artwork must be submitted at least three (3) days before the scheduled start date.

PACKAGES Conditions Advertising Policies: The Sunflower reserves the right to reject any advertisement. Advertisements that discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, creed, color, disability, sexual orientation or gender will not be accepted. The advertiser and/or advertising agency assumes liability for all content (including text and illustrations) of advertisements printed in the Sunflower and also assumes any claims made against the Sunflower. The Sunflower reserves the right to revise its rates or any other conditions in the media kit at any time. The Sunflower does not grant refunds for any classified ad. The Sunflower reserves the right to add a border to any ad or to alter the content of the ad in order to uphold the graphical integrity of the paper. The Sunflower reserves the right to reject any advertisement that does not comply with the policies and judgment of the newspaper staff. By placing an advertising order, the advertiser agrees to, and certifies conformity with, Sunflower policies and terms. The Sunflower will not be liable for printed quality or errors by Hutchinson News. For any advertisement to be considered for any amount of refund, the Advertising Manager or Business Manager must be notified within five week days after publication of the advertisement. The Sunflower’s liability will not exceed the cost of the ad in which the error occurred. Credit will only be applied toward the first incorrect insertion. If the client approves an ad’s copy before publications, minor spelling and/or typographic errors will not qualify for a make good ad. All advertising must be paid for in advance unless the advertiser has completed a credit application and credit has been approved.

No credit can be extended to any drinking establishments or political advertiser on or off campus. Bills, statements and proof of publication will be mailed at the beginning of each month.

Payments 30 days overdue from the original billing date are subject to 1.5% finance charge compounded monthly. Advertisers with delinquent debt must pay balance before any further ads can be run in the Sunflower. Checks should be made payable to: The Sunflower. Payments by credit can be made at www.thesunflower.com under the advertise link on the bottom of the page. The Sunflower accepts Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express. No refunds will be given on ads.

Electronic File Requirements: Ads must be sent as a PDF, TIFF, or JPEG. The Sunflower will accept ads on a CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, & Flash Drives. All classified ads should be emailed to sales@thesunflower. com. All display ads should be emailed to the appropriate advertising representative. When in doubt, email ads to sales@thesunflower.com.

Design Services: Design services for ads placed in The Sunflower require a charge of $25 per ad and will be handled by The Sunflower design department.

Proofs will be delivered by a Sunflower advertising representative to the client for proofreading. All ads must be approved two business days prior to publication by 4:00 p.m.

Advertising Policy: The Sunflower reserves the right to revise its rates or any other conditions in this rate card at any time.

The Sunflower will not accept any advertisement that is offensive, promotes academic dishonesty, or encourages discrimination against any individual or group. he Sunflower is excited to offer its most exciting advertising opportunity in the more than 120 years of our student-run newspaper. This fall we are starting the “Deals of the Week” page in our Monday paper. Every Monday, we will offer a full-page spread dedicated entirely to getting the 21 best coupons from community businesses into Wichita State students’ hands. With only 21 spots available, the early bird gets the worm. Students are already talking about this on campus, and we want you to be part of the excitement.

PACKAGE DETAILS:

This package includes three major components. First, your coupon will be printed in the “Deals of the Week” section of the paper every Monday for one month. Second, your coupons will be displayed for a full month on our website under the “Deals of the Week” tab. Finally, we will post on our social media accounts two times a week pushing that week’s coupons. We want to make these go viral, and we need your help. All of this for only $400 a month. That’s it. This package includes advertising on every platform that The Sunflower has to offer for an extended period of time for a one-time, flat fee. What could be better?
