The Polk County Board of Supervisors amended the Parks Ordinance at its Jan. 17 meeting to allow for winter use of ATV and UTV on the trail. Snowmobiles were already allowed to use the trail with frozen ground. In a news release, the county’s Parks Department notified riders that it “will declare when the trail is open and closed in a similar way to how the snowmobile trails are declared” — via signage and notifica-
