DAGUPAN CITY — Former Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno paid a visit to PHINMA-University of Pangasinan and offered a seminar onSeptember 27, 2023 as part of the Siyak Ya Mismo seminar series.
Student Leaders from nine PHINMA Education universities participated in the 5th PHINMA Education Student Leader Summit hosted by PHINMA University of Iloilo last November 15 to 17, 2023. PHINMA-University of Pangasinan, both from Dagupan and Urdaneta campuses, along with 8 other PHINMA Education schools attended the 5th PHINMA Education Student Leader Summit that was hosted by PHINMA-University of Iloilo. With the continuation of the 5th PSLS in 2023 due to its halt because of the pandemic, 61 student leaders from PHINMA-University of Pangasinan, PHINMA-Saint Jude College in Manila, PHINMA-Republican College-
Sereno tackled national issues and laws about sovereignty. Good governance was also given emphasis. An open fora with representatives was also done — people representing various sectors such as the PHINMA-UPang faculty took part in asking questions about the discussion. PHINMA-UPang College of Urdaneta (PUCU) has also participated in the seminar. Learning materials were provided at the end of the session through a QR code on the same scope as Sereno discussed – religion, laws, good governance, and so on.
PHINMAUPang Aids Aspiring SK Candidates Through MLOB Gabay Lakbay Program By Trisha
The PHINMA University of Pangasinan took a significant stride towards fostering leadership and civic engagement among youth by hosting its first ever MLOB Gabay-Lakbay event on October 9, 2023, at the university gymnasium.
The program aims to provide guidance and support to aspiring Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) candidates in the upcoming elections. The MLOB Gabay Lakbay program brought together over 300 aspiring SK candidates from various colleges and programs within the University of Pangasinan.

Along the streets of AB Fernandez Avenue stands vendors that sell products ranging from bracelets, face masks, cologne, and even fruits. They stayed on the sidewalk and endured the heat and dust just to sell their products and earn their products’ worth. With the recent road construction for the Flood Mitigation Project, a few things changed in their business.

SPEED-UP Makes it to Diliman Debating Pre-ABP Top 4 Teams By Isshael Espiritu
DAGUPAN CITY — Matthew Tinamisan of PHINMA-University of Pangasinan Speech and Debate Guild (SPEED-UP), in a composite team with Lorenz De Claro of San Beda Debate Society, bagged a place at the Novice Grand Finals of Diliman Debating Pre-ABP Tournament 2023 on September 2023.
“To be honest, I only joined this competition because I saw that David Africa would be one of the Adj. Core, and of course, as a devoted member of the David Africa Fan Association,” joked Tinamisan in a Facebook post of gratitude. Chief Adjudicators include Luigi Alcaneses, David Africa, Banum Sabai, and Ellie Stephenson, all from various universities around the world. The Diliman Debating Pre-ABP hosts various schools from other countries, with PHINMA-UPang being one of the few Philippine schools who took part.
