ret Parsons has dedicated the larger part of his real estate career making a name for himself as an Architectural Realtor. As he says, “My avocation is my vocation”. With a lifelong love of houses, design and architecture, Bret has specialized in selling architecturally significant homes and estates. He is a published author on the architects who shaped LA’s rich architectural history. He is a speaker on subjects ranging from LA architectural icons to selling a home in an economic downturn.

Early in his real estate career, Bret was asked to spearhead the creation of the Architectural Division at John Aaron Realty Group to focus primarily on marketing and selling architecturally noteworthy homes and estates. After leading that division to record sales, Bret moved on to head Coldwell Banker’s Architectural Division in Beverly Hills, the highest grossing office in the country.

Bret is a 30-year resident of Hancock Park so when Pacific Union approach him to spearhead their Larchmont Architectural Division and the launch of their office in Larchmont Village, it seemed a serendipitous opportunity for Bret to bring his architectural expertise and passion to the place he calls home.

uthor Bret has written three books on significant LA Architects. Â His first book covers the work and times of Gerard Colcord. Bret then partnered with architect, Marc Appleton, and historian Steve Voight on a monograph chronicling the work of Gordon Kaufmann. Parsons, Appleton and Voight have signed on to pen an eleven-book series, each on a different LA architect. Their volume on Roland Coate will be the next to be published.Â
