Dear Friends and Fellow Cattleman,

On behalf of all of us here at Reid Angus Ranch Production Sale: Reid Angus Ranch, Reid Cattle, and J&H Cattle LLC. We would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to our annual Bull and Female sale on Friday March 10th at the Livestock Exchange in Brush, Colorado.

Here at Reid Angus, we are not striving to breed cattle that just fit in with the mainstream but ones that are bred to Stand Out. We are striving to produce cattle with the commercial cattleman in mind. Cattle that have a very good spread from birth to weaning and yearling along with very solid carcass numbers that are sound and easy to look at from a set of cows built from strong cow families. We truly believe that great Bulls come from great females. We do not select for any one single trait but strive to produce cattle with a solid EPD profile. Cattle that are structurally sound, easy fleshing with good bone and a good solid foot with calving ease, volume, performance, solid carcass traits and phenotype. This set of bulls is as good as we’ve ever offered. This year’s offering will have an extra emphasis on carcass merit in addition to light to moderate birth weights with that extra performance needed. This year’s offering will feature offspring of some of the Breeds greatest young sires such as Hometown, Iconic, GAR Ashland, Revelation, Styles Amendment, Stunner, HCC Whitewater, Jindra Acclaim, QLC Kool, and Synergy, which are some of the most exciting young sires in the breed today.

We are very excited about this year’s offering of bulls and females. Many of them are heifer bulls with a large spread from birth to weaning and yearling. This year’s set of bulls are a very strong and deep set. They have an outstanding set of EPD’s. This year’s offering of bulls are very strong in calving ease along with great muscle shape and growth. The bulls are developed on a high roughage diet to ensure their soundness. These are bulls that will go to work for you and will hold up. This is the strongest set of females to ever be offered in our sale. The females are a very fancy set of females straight from our replacement program from the same breed leading sires as the bulls.

Terms - Cattle will sell under the suggested Terms and Conditions of the American Angus Association. Terms of the sale are cash or check payable during or after the sale and before cattle will be released. Cattle will not be transferred until paid in full. Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. The auctioneer has complete charge of the sale and in case of a dispute in bidding, his decision will be final. Any announcement from the auction block will take precedence over printed material. All persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. The owners assume no liability for property loss or accidents that may occur.

Guarantee - Cattle will be sold and guaranteed in accordance with the recommended terms and conditions set forth by the breed association. If an animal fails to be a breeder, buyers can choose a replacement, if one is available at the time, or receive credit. Guarantee is void in occurrence of improper management in caring for an animal, or sickness, or injury occurred after sale of the said animal.

Absentee Bidding - If you would like to place a bid but are unable to attend the sale, please direct your bid to any of the owners or sale staff. You may also bid online as the sale will be broadcast live on the Internet with DVAuctions. Bidders need to be registered by March 9, 2023.

Health Notes: All cattle will be accompanied by a proper health certificate for immediate shipment

Trucking, Delivery, and Wintering - Truckers believed to be reliable will be available to assist you in shipping your purchases. Free delivery within 250 miles on purchases of $3,000 or more. We will be very accommodating on additional expenses and purchases of less than $3,000. Animals not picked up on sale day will be boarded free of charge at the ranch until April 1, 2023, and then will be charged $4/day after April 1.
