A new fashion capital

In celebration of the opening of its newest flagship store in UP Town Center, the country’s favorite casualwear brand recently gathered together some of the country’s fashion authorities, top models, and up-and-coming celebrities in UP Town Center for a night of fun, sweet treats, rad music, and nothing less than the most up-to-date fashion styles. “As a brand that represents the youth’s vitality and taste for adventure, we need to make sure that our new flagship store gets the welcome party it deserves” shares Penshoppe’s Brand Director Jeff Bascon. Dubbed “Penshoppe Capital”, the 800-square meter fashion haven features an edgy yet minimalist layout with white walls, floors and ceiling. It also has giant LED screens playing the brand’s latest campaigns in place of display windows. As its biggest store in Metro Manila, it is the one place to go to if you want to check out all of Penshoppe’s latest offerings. Bascon says, “One of our biggest considerations when designing Penshoppe Capital is to make it a destination— one that people will seek out. In order to do this, we need to create a unique shopping experience. That’s when we thought about playing with space. The store is a bit edgy yet still maintains that feel-good vibe that Penshoppe is known for. It’s laid out in such a way that shoppers can easily move from one section to the next, and allows everyone to have a clear view of the brand’s offerings at a macro perspective.” Lending their talents to set the mood for the one-of-a-kind fashion party were DJ Tom Taus and Sanya Smith. Some familiar faces seen during the event include Aryanna Epperson, Benjamin Alves, Guji Lorenzana, Cesca Litton,

The Black Essential Bikini Top and Roll Top Hipster Bikini Bottom combination is perfect for the classic woman

THE thought of summer fast approaching conjures up a pretty picture of paradise: the sound of gentle waves rolling onto the sandy shore, the balmy breeze blowing lightly on one’s face and the summery sun kissing one’s skin. Ah yes, ‘tis the season to throw caution, and (some of) our clothes, to the wind. Marks & Spencer helps you do just that and get summer-ready with a swimwear collection inspired by the South Seas as well as tropi-cool monochromatic prints. Slip into the season’s stylish staples, nautical lines, blues and whites, or fresh palm-printed styles with some paired with beads and fringe details all rendered in classic cuts and silhouettes. For the classicist, try on a black bikini top with matching high-waisted bottoms and take your style game up a notch with a long, printed cover-up. For the fashionable woman looking for chic but versatile swimwear, opt for the printed navy multi-way bikini top, which can be worn in eight different ways. But for a bold summer statement, why not try the shardprinted navy blue one-piece with beads and fringe detail? Sweep your hair sideways, secure with some sea-salt spray, and take paradise with you even when you are just lounging by the poolside. Marks & Spencer values elegant but forward designs coupled with wearable innovation. The brand’s current line features a Secret Slimming Technology, in which an inner layer of control fabric shapes, sculpts and flatters a woman’s figure. Meanwhile, the moulded cups offer light padding for coverage instead of just the usual push-up. In celebration of 20 years of British style in the Philippines, Marks & Spencer loyalty customers will have the chance to escape to paradise. Win an overnight stay and spa package for two at ShangriLa at the Fort and a buffet party for 10 at High Street Café, as well as a Marks & Spencer shopping spree worth P50,000. Another 20 customers will also get the chance to win P20,000 worth of Marks & Spencer gift vouchers. Other benefits of being a Marks & Spencer loyalty customer also include birthday discounts, seasonal freebies, personalized shopping services, bonus points and more.
