âThe Catbird Seat - Art Gallery and Vintage Shoppeâ will have its ribbon cutting on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at 18 Main Street, Sayville, N.Y. 11782. The celebration will continue all day until 9:00 pm. There will also be live music and refreshments. It is just in time for Sayvilleâs Summerfest, which starts the next day. In the past Sayville has received the designation as the âFriendliest Town in Americaâ - it is a destination. This shop is ï¬lling the vacant, empty store in the middle of Sayville Long Island, on Main Street, that was formally occupied by the âIrish Crossroadsâ. Gallery owner Debi Wickliï¬e, recently moved the store from the East end of town, to be in the heart of the community. She even puts out bowls of water on the sidewalk, for doggies that stroll by. Before or after lunch and dinner at one of downtownâs restaurants, shoppers can browse the won-
derful store. The Catbird Seat is a shop ï¬lled with Long Island art. We encourage the community to buy local art, support our artists, and take home your very own piece of Long Island. In addition to original paintings and prints, the gallery has one-of-a-kind, custom hand-painted furniture that has been repurposed and upcycled. Furniture can also be painted to your speciï¬cations. Hand-crafted artisan products include jewelry, carved pens, mosaics, crafts, home decor, local note cards, gifts, accessories and apparel. It has an amazing network of local artists. For your fun and enjoyment you can create your own art. You donât have to be an artist. The Catbird Seat oï¬ers art classes on painting (acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, chalk paint), mosaics, jewelry making, seasonal crafts and more. For more information please call (631) 987-4213.
