Fifty some years of living and an incredibly patient wife, have brought me to the conclusion that anything and everything we experience in life is what it is. Of course, we have the ability to make choices that determine many of the outcomes, but once things happen, it is done and the only thing we have control over is the way we react. There is a great deal of wisdom in first recognising and then refraining from sweating the unavoidable small stuff. Don’t allow it to suck your power. Think of all the terrible things that have happened to you and then remind yourself that every single incident eventually passed ushering in a continuation of life as you knew it before the calamity. So why lose your dignity and adversely affect the people who quite often provide solutions to your problems. Yes, I was angry yesterday but today, I am focused on taking care of the things and people that matter most. Life is short and living in peace and harmony with ourselves and the people around us is everything. So, make that call to your mother and father, sister or brother, friend and even foe. Tell them that your life is that much better because they are a part of it and for goodness sake, stop sweating the small stuff. Learn to handle problems without sacrificing your dignity because in the end, it all plays out like Bob Marley’s tune: “don’t worry ‘bout a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright!” Farid Nouisser Managing Director

And as a result, my ability to live a more enriched life was often paralyzed. It would be one thing if these self inflicted, reactionary states of doom and gloom were isolated to one’s own existence, but this is rarely, if ever, the case. Our moods and general day to day disposition directly affect the people we interact with and no sane, functioning human being has the right to rain on another’s parade simply as a result of an inability to cope.

AL AIN IMPLEMENTS FIRST PHASE OF MAWAQIF PARKING SYSTEM

The charges will be Dh2 per hour for a standard parking bay, marked in turquoise and black, and Dh15 for the entire day. The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has announced that the first phase of the Mawaqif Paid Parking System had been implemented across five sectors in Al Ain City. Mohammed Al Muhairi, Deputy General Manager of the Integrated Transport Centre, Head of Traffic and Parking Team, said some 121 payment machines had been installed in the city. 1,376 new parking bays have been added in Hai Qesaidah, 1,175 in Hai Al Rubainah, 8

1,107 in Hai Al Nawase, 1,166 in Hai Al Humairia and 867 in Hai Al Salama, Al Muhairi added. The paid parking programme will remain in effect from 8am until midnight from Saturday to Thursday. The charges will be Dh2 per hour for a standard parking bay, marked in turquoise and black, and Dh15 for the entire day. A premium parking bay, marked in turquoise and white, can be availed at a cost of Dh3 per hour for not more than four hours. Al Muhairi explained that residents may request permits by visiting a Mawaqif

Customer Service Centre in Al Ain. The permit will allow residents to park their cars in standard parking bays any time without extra charges. The residents' permits are issued to a property owner or tenant, in addition to first-degree relatives. No more than two permits will be allowed, and the permit will be valid for the vehicle and the zone where the property is located. To obtain permits, residents will have to submit a copy of their Emirates identity card, passport with a valid resident visa for expatriates, tenancy contract or a certified property ownership document, electricity bill for the last three months and proof of the first-degree relationship. The fee for expatriates is Dh800 for the first permit, Dh1,200 for the second permit, while it is free for the families of UAE nationals who live in villas. A UAE national living in an apartment is eligible for four permits. Government entities must pay Dh1,200 and identify the number of permits needed, as well as provide the names of employees and their car plate numbers. Customers can pay fines through the Municipality's Customer Service Centres and website, Police Customer Service Centres, the Ministry of the Interior app, Abu Dhabi Police website and Max Box Middle East kiosks. The payment can be made with cash or through credit cards.

EVERY CHILD IS A MIRACLE

PN’s journey has been an exciting and successful one since we opened in November 2015. As well as being an EYFS nursery, we also wanted to support our community by including a function room in our adjacent building. Creating that all important first impression required hard work and was achieved thanks to our strong and dedicated team.

After our nursery was set up, the next step was hosting an ‘Orientation Day’ for parents because a great nursery experience includes collaboration between teachers and parents. We all had a lovely afternoon discussing mutual expectations. I must say, we were blessed with extremely supportive parents, especially during their children’s initial settling in period; they worked with us and we developed a bond that remains to this day and will endure moving into the future. We have always maintained that our nursery is popular thanks to a passionate, experienced team thriving in a warm and welcoming environment that puts both children and parents at ease. We are also lucky to have a building with large class rooms and a beautiful garden. We created spaces where children have a sense of ownership and belonging and practitioners busy themselves building bonds that foster effective play and structured programmes in line with the EYFS ethos. Since opening, we have expanded from 4 classes to 6 and new staff members have joined the LPN family. We are adamant about continued training and professional development and strive to always exceed the expectations of our parents and staff members through unwavering support. We also offer extra curriculum activities such as, ‘Little Gym’ and Arabic sessions. At our nursery, we recognize people’s values, traditions and beliefs and embrace parent’s ideas and thoughts. Our curriculum includes special events focused on multiculturalism and incorporates important developmental activities such as music and dance. In our second year, we proudly held a ‘Cancer Awareness’ afternoon for mums to attend and have now started ‘Parent’s Workshops’ in the interest of added support and improved child development. Our first workshop was ‘Children’s Behaviour Management,’ followed by, ‘Good Oral Health Lecture’. This is what parents are saying about our workshops: “Thank you for the Behaviour Management session you conducted Ms. Lajital; it was really useful when managing my child at home; I have become more confident and hope to participate in many more future programmes.” “Thank you for arranging such a valuable workshop for parents Ms. Alison. It was really useful for me because it can be a challenge raising boys. I am practicing these strategies all the time. I hope you will arrange more.” At LPN, we understand the importance of our role in both readiness and school transitions. There are certain expected characteristics that show a child is ready for school, such as an understanding of expected levels of behaviour, confidence and self-esteem. We implement steps to ensure our children are developing these skills. Starting school is a major stage in a child’s life. We help children cope with the reorganisation of their identity and status as they move from pre-school child to school child. We achieve this through various processes and ‘school sacks’ which contain educational activities such as science, math and literacy to use at home. With this prior knowledge and these strategies, the child has a seamless transition from nursery to a participant in school. In our journey as a team, we have created a high-quality nursery built on the foundation of a consistent staff with high expectations of themselves and an unwavering desire to have every one of our children achieve their full potential. IF NUCLEAR WAR BROKE OUT WHERE'S

THE SAFEST PLACE ON EARTH?

NUCLEAR TENSIONS APPEAR TO BE MOUNTING AGAIN AMIDST POLITICAL UPHEAVAL. SO, IN THE EVENT OF NUCLEAR WAR, WHERE SHOULD YOU HEAD? he recent death of Fidel Castro – a man synonymous with the threat of nuclear war and the Cuban Missile Crisis – has reminded us how much the world has changed since the end of the Cold War. We are safer now than perhaps any time in our history. Let’s take the cheery topic of violent death, for example. In most of the world, murder rates are falling along with other violent crimes. A recent UN study reported that homicide rates in North America, Europe and Asia have been declining for last 15 years, and wars have also become less deadly when compared to conflicts in the 20th century. Even contemporary atrocities in the Middle East do not compare to the industrial genocide of Stalin, Mao, or Hitler. Research by the Early Warning Project for example, has shown a clear decline in mass killings in wars and conflicts since 1992. Despite gruesome on-going conflicts, as a planet we are arguably living in the most peaceful time in human history. On the surface, that goes for nuclear threats too. Nuclear bunkers have been turned into nightclubs, civil defence has become an interesting historical curiosity, and the five countries of the “nuclear club” have successfully adhered to major international treaties that ban making and testing nuclear weapons for over two decades.

A MUTUALLY-ASSURED OBSESSION Recently however, the atomic landscape has begun to shift. North Korea has undertaken a series of nuclear tests, including its fifth and largest detonation in September 2016, and the UN Security Council has begun the process of implementing severe sanctions, which could have widereaching consequences. Although the vast majority of UN member states voted in favour of a ban on nuclear weapons, there are increased tensions between NATO and Russia, continuing volatility between India and Pakistan, and new nuclear nightmares and geopolitical scenarios that never existed during the halcyon days of the Cold War. Ex-Pentagon chief William Perry recently claimed that nuclear destruction is a bigger risk today than during the 70s and 80s. The shock election of Donald Trump, described by US military officers as ‘easily baited and quick to lash out’, has also revived our atomic anxiety. With Donald now in sole command of 7,000 nuclear warheads, are we one step closer to nuclear annihilation? Being the cheerful optimists that we are, we decided to explore how attitudes have changed towards nuclear deterrence, the current emotional geopolitics attached to nuclear weapons, and to consider what would happen in the basically impossible scenario that an instantaneous and multilateral nuclear war occurs in the not so distant future. EMOTIONAL GEOPOLITICS So what is it about nuclear weapons that provoke such a strong emotional response? One only has to look at the debates over Trident renewal this year to see how nuclear issues can still incite such passion, anger and hostility. Global society has constructed a norm against the use of nuclear arms, but like any human construction, it can be repurposed. The idea that nuclear weapons have a unique psychological effect emerged following the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WW2. Since then, nuclear things have possessed an exceptional political power, and atomic bombs became the ultimate taboo weapon. But what would happen if there was a nuclear war today? We looked at the current international nuclear stockpile of the ten nuclear states for guidance, and considered the likelihood of conflict with other nations, to create a ranking of risk trajectories. Combining this with numerical weather prediction data enabled us to gain an approximate idea of what could happen if we had an all-out nuclear war. The modelled output of our crude atomic plaything produced fallout across the world, which would eventually plunge us into a nuclear winter. SO WHERE IS THE SAFEST PLACE? Our computer modelling shows that should atomic annihilation be on the cards, one of the safest places to live would be Antarctica. But who’d want to live there? Another option would be Easter Island in the South Pacific, over 2000 miles from South America. While spending time here as the rest of the world burns, you could check out the massive mysterious statues, known as Mo‘ai. These monoliths were carved by ancient Polynesians who cut down all the trees on the island in order to move these giant stone figures. Sadly, as Jared Diamond writes in his book ‘Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Survive’, this deforestation turned the isolated island into an ecological ruin. What better place to ponder the hamstrung future of mankind than an island that encapsulates our ability to kill ourselves through damaging our environment? If Easter Island’s barren landscape sounds too depressing, why not try the archipelagos of Kiribati or the Marshall Islands? These remote and sunny island chains come complete with tropical beaches and are surrounded by 750,000 square miles of ocean. Once the home to much of the historical nuclear weapons testing, it is somehow poignant that sites that were previously peppered with fallout could be the safest places on earth during our hypothetical nuclear apocalypse. Whist we have geologically defined our atomic Anthropocene by our nuclear weapons testing, the future of humanity and the fabric of the planet is now being tested and moulded by pollution and climate change. Perhaps now it is time to reconsider the emotional connections that we have designated to nuclear weapons, since Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We need to think ourselves beyond the psychology of atomic apocalypse, if humanity is to survive.

A candidate at a job interview, a politician making speeches or a man and woman courting are all selling their ideas and viewpoints. Selling is an art necessary for success in any business or profession. Having worked as a sales director with many leading hotel chains, I would like to share a list of what I believe to be The Golden Rules of sales success. Sales is not about bombarding the potential client with information or assimilating leads like order takers, rather, it’s a two-way form of communication. People say that sales is hard work. I like to think of successful sales as the result of working smart! Since 80% of your business is derived from 20% of your leads, learn to recognise and focus on this 20%. Sales calls should be made keeping the daily budget in mind as it’s rightly said, “Either you run the day or the day runs you.” • First Impression: The very first step before making any hardcore sales pitch is to sell yourself. That first impression is crucial; your punctuality, dress code, conduct, eye contact etc…

Your product vs the competition’s: Nothing can be more embarrassing in sales than failing to know your product or the competition. A S.W.O.T. (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis should be in place before moving out into the market. Products don’t sell themselves, it’s people who make the difference! Know your Customer & their current market situation: Instead of asking the customer about their company, it’s always better to sound knowledgeable and share their company information facts and figures. Attack the Right Target Market: Every sales person should know their target audience and focus on those specific buyers. Scheduling appointments with the Right person: Getting in touch with actual decision makers who can approve the purchase is very important. Keep the needs of the customer first: Customers are inundated with information; you need to be able to offer a value proposition that’s in accordance with their needs. Brief Sales Pitch: Sales pitches should be brief yet cover all key points. Ask relevant questions, listen to the buyer and offer solutions.

Handling queries and objections: It’s very important to keep your calm while handling objections and turn them into opportunities.Remember you are not just selling your product, rather selling the benefits. • Never forget those touch points: Catch the interest of the customer apart from work; for example: dining, family, shopping, latest news, trends etc. People like to do business with people they like. Always remember their birthdays / Anniversaries. • Crack real deals: Keep the company’s brand values and price parameters in mind. Not every sales deal is your deal. Always explain the value proposition and don’t blindly reduce the prices. • Effective closing of sales: Always close the sale on a positive note thanking the customer for their valuable time (irrespective of the business closure). • Referral Business: It’s always important to build a good rapport with senior management in any company for referral business. Always remember: not only do you have to earn the sale, you must earn the respect, trust and confidence of your clients. Believe and you will achieve!

Watching recent events unfold globally both politically speaking and in regards to devastating natural disasters, a lot of people have good reason to consider their own safety, wherever they live. “What if that happened where I live?” is a perfectly natural question to ask when faced with wall-to-wall coverage of horrible devastation. It’s true that no place is perfect, and there are always going to be some risks wherever you are in the world, whether it’s California, Indonesia, or London… but if you’ve been thinking about a move overseas, and recent events in Japan, the United States of America, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Iraq – just to name a few have you wondering which countries run the lowest risk of destruction, read on. To be clear, what follows is not an exhaustive list, just a few countries that stand out as being particularly low risk for destructive natural disasters, nuclear meltdown, terrorism, or dictatorial tactics.

1) Uruguay: This fairly small nation in South America is home to few, if any, natural disasters. There is occasional flooding, but not the sort of thing that makes international headlines for its massive destruction. There are no earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic activity, etc. There are also no nuclear plants in the country. Uruguay also has a small, ethnically homogeneous population with a poorly funded government that’s incapable of financing totalitarian control of its people. Uruguay’s fascist military government is part of its unfortunate past, not its brighter future. 2) Poland: Devoid of any nuclear power plants, Poland also suffers negligible natural hazards except for a biting winter cold. The country has a strong, thriving economy and barely felt the effects of the global recession– if the US caught the flu, Poland had a minor case of the sniffles. Poland’s government is well-funded, however as a former communist nation, Polish society stands firmly against any hit of authoritarianism. Poland also has limited exposure to the Islamic immigration crisis

that is plaguing much of Western Europe. 3) Singapore: In terms of natural disasters, Singapore is in the fortunate position of being encased by Borneo on one side and Malaysia to the other. As such, any typhoon or tsunami activity goes through those locations first. By the time they get to Singapore, it’s a tame tropical depression with great surf conditions. It’s true that Singapore’s society is diverse… but the country has a history of harmonious multiculturalism. And, despite the fact that small things like spitting are offenses, this is one of the last places in the world where the market-oriented government would turn on its people. 4) Estonia: Like Poland, Estonia lacks any real natural disasters (except cold weather) and has no nuclear facilities of its own. Estonia is also devoid of any elements of extremism or deep ethnic conflict within its borders. Estonia’s government is market-oriented and transparent, running a tight operation that has no room in the budget for massive police agencies and constant monitoring.

5) United Arab Emirates: You might think I’m going out on a limb here, but I would consider the UAE to be a safe place from disaster. In terms of natural hazards, the UAE’s biggest problem is the occasional sand storm - nothing serious. Its first nuclear power stations scheduled to come online are sparing no expense to implement the latest, safest technology. Given what else is happening in the Middle East, you might question whether the UAE would, in fact, jump on the bandwagon of opening fire on its own people. Bear in mind a few thingsFirst, the various emirates that make up the UAE are essentially autonomous, and the national government is very decentralized with limited power. AMONG UAE’S SAFEST DRIVERS

• 94.4% of French drivers in the UAE made no claims on their car insurance last year, according to yallacompare study. • Almost 85% of UAE residents do not opt for the cheapest car insurance policy. UAE residents from France, the United Kingdom and Australia are among the safest drivers in the country, according to a new study from yallacompare, the Middle East’s leading comparison site. Using no-claims statistics from its insurance comparison platform, yallacompare can reveal that French residents of the UAE are the safest drivers in the country, with 94.4% of French drivers having made no claims in the past year. Drivers from the United Kingdom are the next safest, with 93.4% of Britons having at least a year’s no-claims on their car insurance policies. Australians and Americans are the UAE’s joint-third safest drivers; just 6.9% of drivers from these countries have made a claim on their insurance policies in the past year. At the other end of the scale, yallacompare’s analysis reveals that UAE drivers from the Philippines are the riskiest to insure, with 13.1% of Filipino drivers in the UAE having made a claim on their insurance policies in the past year. Egyptian drivers are the secondriskiest, with 11.9% of drivers from this country having made a claim. Drivers from Sudan round off the top three nationalities for the most claims; 11.1% made a claim on their UAE insurance policies over the past 12 months. “Our online car insurance comparison platform requires users to provide personal details, as well as indicate whether they’ve made a claim on a previous insurance policy, before they are served a selection of quotes to choose from. Having served millions of quotes to UAE consumers, we can use this data to identify accurate insurance trends among the different demographics of the UAE,” said Jonathan Rawling, CFO at yallacompare. “For example, our data shows that those aged between 25 and 29 are the riskiest age group to insure, with 11.9% of people in this age bracket having made a claim on their UAE car insurance policy in the past year. As would be expected, those over 50 years old are the safest drivers – 91.6% have at least a year of no claims on their records.” yallacompare’s study also reveals that those who own cars worth between AED 400,000 and AED 500,000 are the safest drivers, with just 6.5% of such drivers having made a claim on their insurance over the last 12 months. Still, there are some differences among the demographics. Those who own cars worth less than AED 100,000 are more willing to pay for better insurance coverage – just 15% of people in this bracket opt for the cheapest car insurance policy. That’s compared to the 50% of owners of cars worth more than AED 400,000 who opt for the cheapest insurance policy. The UAE’s oldest drivers are also among the country’s most frugal when it comes to spending on car insurance; 18.1% of those over 50 years old opt for the cheapest car insurance policy, compared to just 14.5% of those aged between 30 and 39. “It would stand to reason that those over 50 years old feel confident enough in purchasing cheaper insurance, given that they are, as a demographic, the safest drivers in the UAE. What’s more, our data suggests that those between the age of 30 and 39 are more willing to pay for additional features such as off-road cover,” said Radhika Agnihotri, Insight Analyst at yallacompare. “People in this age group are, anecdotally speaking, insuring a premium car for the first time, and they’ll often want to get the most out of that car – whether it’s dunebashing in the desert or simply taking it for long drives around the UAE. Because of this, they’ll see value in purchasing insurance that offers increased levels of protection.” In terms of the most frugal nationalities, UAE nationals top the list with 28.1% of Emiratis opting for the least expensive option. In second are Sudanese drivers, 25.4% of whom choose the cheapest policy. Egyptian drivers round off the top three, with 21.5% purchasing the cheapest insurance available. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY HURRICANES? THE 2017 STORM SEASON HAS BEEN RELENTLESS

ecently, the Category 5 Hurricane, Irma made landfall in the Caribbean with maximum sustained winds reaching 185 mph. Irma comes less than a week after Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas, and on its heels, are the newly formed Tropical Storms José and Katia in the Atlantic. (José is expected to build power and turn into a hurricane.) Given the sheer quantity of major in a short period of time, many might be wondering: why are there so many hurricanes in 2017? Is there a reason for this madness? According to Jeff Masters, meteorologist and cofounder of Weather Underground, Hurricane Irma hitting the U.S as a Category 4 or 5 storm is breaking records. "The U.S. has never been hit, since we started collecting records in 1851, by two Category 4 or stronger hurricanes in the same season,” said Masters, “ Irma has now accomplished this catastrophic feat!” Masters told PBS there are three main ingredients currently causing the uptick in hurricanes, the first one is weak wind shears. Basically, when coastal winds blow the opposite speed of winds in the upper atmosphere, it creates a speed gradient which then tilts and slows the velocity of a hurricane. Currently, shears are lower than average.

One of the other factors at play includes warmer ocean temperatures, which help fuel and intensify a storm. When Hurricane Harvey was approaching the Texas coast, the Gulf ocean temperature rose 2.7 to 7.2 degrees Fahrenheit above average, further fueling the storm. Hurricane Irma was brewing in a sea that averages temperatures around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, surface water temperatures of 79 degrees Fahrenheit or above are conducive to hurricanes. So, the current ocean warming is a contributing factor. The third and final culprit that Masters listed is the high level of moisture in the air. According to PBS, the air where Irma first brewed had 55 percent relative humidity, which Masters claimed was a bit on the dry side, but enough humidity to help a storm grow. While there's expectations that climate change will continue to intensify the winds and rainfalls of tropical storms, Masters said the language for classifying storms will likely stay the same. "There never will be a Category 6 on the Saffir–Simpson scale," Masters said, "because Category 5 is already catastrophic."

t is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that nothing you do ever really matters. In a world still plagued by war, poverty and devastating natural disasters, you might believe that no one person can actually make a difference. But you’d be wrong.

Cash Transfers and Bed-Nets

Not only can people make a difference, but they already are making a huge difference in the world today. With a little bit of time and forethought, we can all join them.

In2009, Paul Niehaus and Michael Faye were completing PhDs in Economics at Harvard University with a focus on economic development. Along with a group of colleagues, they wanted to find a way to improve the lives of people in the developing world. Together, they found evidence that one of the most effective ways to help is simply to transfer money directly to the poorest families, and let them spend it as they see fit.

We live in an extraordinary time. Industrialization has caused unprecedented levels of growth in what we now call the developed world. Today’s individuals are around 30 times (!) richer than they were 200 years ago.

Inspired, the group created GiveDirectly to do just that. Starting as a private giving circle, in 2011 they turned it into a public charity, using emerging technologies to transfer up to 91% of donated funds directly to recipients.

But this growth has been hugely uneven, with large proportions of the planet still pretty much just as poor as they were hundreds of years ago. The results of this inequality are stark: you might think little of the $10 you spend on drinks after work, but for those on the global poverty line, that’s how much they have to live on for five whole days.

The results have been very encouraging, with numerous studies showing that families use the money wisely, investing in health and their children’s education. Family earnings go up and stay up, improving lives in the short and long term.

Although this situation may seem daunting, it actually also puts people living in rich nations in a unique position to make a real difference in the lives of the most impoverished people on the planet. Not only does our money go much further in the developing world than it does at home, but we also now have access to the technology and understanding to allow us to target our resources effectively. If we’re smart about it, we can find ways to use our numerous advantages to do an enormous amount of good.

Of course, you don’t have to found a charity to make the world a better place. Take Lincoln Quirk, another person interested in the potential of cash transfers, but who went in a different direction. Lincoln created a company called Wave, which makes it cheaper and easier for immigrants to the United States to send money home to their families, who are able to receive the money by mobile phone. Again, getting more wealth into the hands of the global poor is an effective way of improving their lives, and it also helps to push forward economic development. There are plenty of other ways people have found to make a huge difference. For example, in 2004 Rob Mather created the

Against Malaria Foundation. This distributes insecticidal bed-nets to at-risk communities, an intervention enthusiastically promoted by the World Health Organization. At a cost of only $5 per net, AMF has greatly helped to reduce the number of deaths from malaria, as well as keeping children in school and adults able to work and earn money for their families. These examples are all quite different — what made them all the same (and successful) was the individuals taking the time to understand what effect their altruistic efforts were truly having. Becoming an Effective Altruist So how can these people be sure that their time and money really is making a difference, rather than disappearing into a black hole? The answer is that they use studies and evaluations to measure the impact of their work and adjust their plans as needed. This is a core tenet of effective altruism, a movement that seeks to do the most good possible through the use of evidence and reasoning. For my money, it’s the best way for each of us as individuals to take control of how we make a difference. Most of us will never found a company or a charity, nor make any great scientific breakthroughs. But we can all achieve an incredible amount by using our time and money wisely. We, in the developed world are the beneficiaries of incredible advantages. By giving our time or our money effectively, we can make a serious difference to some of the poorest people in the world. Forget doom and gloom — instead, focus on all of the ways in which your contributions can change lives.

‫الفالمنجو الكبير ينجح بالتكاثر للعام‬ ‫السابع على التوالي‬ ‫في محمية الوثبة لألراضي الرطبة‬ ‫ويحقق رقمًا قياسيًا بوالدة ‪ 448‬فرخًا‬ ‫أعلنت هيئة البيئة – أبوظبي عن نجاح طائر الفنتري (الفالمنجو الكبري)‬ ‫بتحقيق رقامً قياسياً جديدا ً بعد تكاثره بنجاح يف محمية الوثبة لألرايض‬ ‫الرطبة للعام السابع عىل التوايل‪ ،‬حيث بلغ عدد األفراخ التي سجلت خالل‬ ‫موسم التكاثر هذا الصيف ‪ 448‬فرخاً‪.‬‬ ‫ولقد تم رصد بناء وتعشيش طيور الفنتري (الفالمنجو) يف مواقعها الرئيسية‬ ‫باملحمية يف منتصف شهر أبريل‪ ،‬وبعد فرتة قصرية الحظ خرباء الطيور‬ ‫بالهيئة وجود البيض يف األعشاش ليتخطى بذلك عدد أفراخ هذا العام‬ ‫البالغ ‪ 448‬فرخاً العدد املسجل يف محمية الوثبة عام ‪ 2015‬والذي بلغ‬ ‫‪ 420‬فرخاً‪.‬‬ ‫ورصحت الدكتورة شيخة سامل الظاهري‪ ،‬املدير التنفيذي لقطاع التنوع‬ ‫البيولوجي الربي والبحري يف هيئة البيئة ‪ -‬أبوظبي "أن استمرار تكاثر‬ ‫الفالمنجو يف محمية الوثبة لألرايض الرطبة هو دليل عىل نجاح الهيئة‬ ‫بإدارة هذا املوئل البيئي الهام بشكل فعال والذي يعترب من األهداف‬ ‫الرئيسية لتحقيق خطة إمارة أبوظبي يف املحور البيئي"‪.‬‬ ‫وأضافت د‪ .‬الظاهري "يعترب الفالمنجو من أكرث الطيور الجاذبة لزوار‬ ‫محمية الوثبة‪ ،‬حيث يحرص العديد من الزوار عىل مشاهدة هذه الطيور‬ ‫منذ افتتاحها أمام الجمهور يف الربع األخري من عام ‪ .2014‬ولقد ساهم‬ ‫تكاثر هذا النوع من الطيور لسبعة سنوات متتالية يف تزايد االهتامم‬ ‫باملوقع سواء من قبل الجمهور أو من قبل الباحثني واملهتمني يف هذا‬ ‫املجال"‪.‬‬ ‫ويذكر أن أول عملية تكاثر ناجحة لطيور الفنتري يف محمية الوثبة لألرايض‬

‫الرطبة قد سجلت يف عام ‪ .1998‬وبعد هذا النجاح‪ ،‬أصدر املغفور له بإذن‬ ‫الله‪ ،‬الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان توجيهاته إلعالن هذه املنطقة كمحمية‬ ‫طبيعية‪ .‬وتعترب محمية الوثبة املوقع الوحيد بدولة اإلمارات العربية املتحدة‬ ‫الذي يتكاثر فيه الفالمنجو بانتظام‪ .‬وتجدر اإلشارة إىل أن املحمية تبعد حوايل‬ ‫‪ 45‬دقيقة عن مدينة أبوظبي‪ ،‬وهي تعترب مالذا ً آمناً للعديد من الزواحف‪،‬‬ ‫والثدييات الصغرية والحرشات‪.‬‬ ‫وقال د‪ .‬سامل جافيد مدير إدارة التنوع البيولوجي الربي باإلنابة يف قطاع التنوع‬ ‫البيولوجي الربي والبحري "تقوم هيئة البيئة – أبوظبي بتنفيذ برنامجاً ناجحاً‬ ‫ملراقبة وإدارة طيور الفالمنجو باملحميةـ‪ ،‬يتضمن رصد نوعية املياه وروبيان‬ ‫امللح (األرتيميا) الذي يعترب الغذاء األسايس والوحيد القابل للعيش والتكاثر يف‬ ‫مياه البحرية لطيور الفالمنجو‪ ،‬وذلك لضامن توفري بيئة مناسبة لتكاثر هذا النوع‬ ‫من طيور الفالمنجو"‪.‬‬ ‫وأضاف د‪ .‬سامل "إن وجود عدد كبري من طيور الفالمنجو وتكاثرها بانتظام يف‬ ‫محمية الوثبة يعزز من ملف املحمية محلياً ودولياً‪ ،‬حيث أدى ذلك باإلضافة‬ ‫إىل عنارص أخرى إىل االعرتاف باملحمية كأحد مواقع رامسار لألرايض الرطبة يف‬ ‫أبريل ‪."2013‬‬ ‫ومن الجدير بالذكر‪ ،‬أن نطاق انتشار طيور الفالمنجو ميتد من غرب حوض‬ ‫البحر املتوسط إىل رسيالنكا وجنوب أفريقيا‪ ،‬ويزور هذا الطائر دولة اإلمارات‬ ‫العربية املتحدة بشكل منتظم‪ ،‬وميكن رؤيته طوال العام يف بحريات املياه‬ ‫العذبة واملالحة لألرايض الرطبة‪ ،‬حتى أنه يتواجد بالقرب من األماكن السكنية‬ ‫والعامة مثل الطرق الرسيعة والضواحي واملناطق الصناعية واألحواض امللحية‪،‬‬ ‫وبرك الرصف الصحي‪.‬‬

‫غسل اليدين مهم‬ ‫• و هو واحد من أبسط االمور وأكرثها فعالية للبقاء يف‬ ‫صحة جيدة‪ ،‬يف املدرسة وخارجها‪.‬‬ ‫ذكّر طفلك أن يغسل يديه قبل األكل وبعد استخدام‬ ‫املرحاض‪ ،‬وعند تنظيف أنفه أو اللعب يف الخارج‪ .‬ومن‬ ‫أسهل الطرق هو تعليم الطفل غسل يديه بالصابون ملدة‬ ‫تطابق مدة غناء (سنة حلوة) مرتني‪.‬‬ ‫• يجب أن يأخذ الطفل معه للمدرسة علبة مطهر كحويل‪،‬‬ ‫و تذكريه باستخدامها قبل تناول الوجبات الخفيفة أو‬ ‫وجبة الغداء أو بعد استخدام ماوس الكمبيوتر املشرتكة‪،‬‬ ‫املرباة‪ ،‬صنبور املياه أو األشياء املشرتكة األخرى‪.‬‬ ‫تجنب انتشار الجراثيم‬ ‫• علم طفلك تغطية الفم واألنف عند السعال والعطس‪،‬‬ ‫اعطي طفلك مجموعة من املحارم الورقية ليضعها امامه‬ ‫و شجعه عىل استخدامها عند العطس و السعال ثم رميها‬ ‫يف سلة املهمالت‪ ،‬بعدها يجب عليه إما غسل يديه أو‬ ‫استخدام املطهر‪.‬‬ ‫و ذكره إذا تعذر عليه الوصول للمحارم الورقية بالوقت‬ ‫املناسب أن يغطي فمه عندما يسعل أو يعطس بالجزء‬ ‫العلوي من ذراعه عند الكوع‪ ،‬فهذا االجراء من أفضل‬ ‫الوسائل ملنع انتشار الجراثيم‪ ،‬و اذا علمت طفلك يف سن‬

‫مبكرة عليه ستصبح عادة عنده‪.‬‬ ‫• تذكري طفلك أن اليدين غالبا ما تكون مغطاه بالجراثيم‬ ‫لذلك يجب ابقائهم بعيدا عن العينني و ان ال يضعهام‬ ‫يف الفم‪.‬‬ ‫• التنبيه عىل طفلك عدم مشاركة زجاجات املاء والطعام‬ ‫و االشياء الشخصية األخرى‪ ،‬وهناك قاعدة بسيطة‬ ‫لتعليمه ذلك (إذا كان هذا اليشء يف فمك‪ ،‬فهو ليس‬ ‫للمشاركة)‬ ‫• أكد عىل طفلك أن يتجنب األطفال املرىض‪.‬‬ ‫• ناقش مع طبيب األطفال املكمالت والفيتامينات‬ ‫والعالجات العشبية التي تستطيع اعطائها لطفلك للوقاية‬ ‫من نزالت الربد‪.‬‬ ‫• األشياء األخرى التي ميكنك عن طريقها املساعدة يف‬ ‫الحفاظ عىل صحة طفلك هي التغذية الجيدة و النظام‬ ‫الغذايئ املتوازن‪ ،‬باإلضافة اىل النوم السليم و الكايف و‬ ‫الحصول عىل لقاح االنفلونزا‪.‬‬ ‫قد يكون محبطا مرض طفلك بالرغم من اتخاذ كل‬ ‫الخطوات و التدابري للحد من انتشار الجراثيم‪ ،‬لكن‬ ‫أساليب الوقاية تبقى فعالة و يجب أن يتبعها جميع أفراد‬ ‫األرسة‪ .‬وبالرغم من عدم وجود طريقة للحفاظ ‪٪ 100‬‬ ‫عىل طفلك من االصابة بالجراثيم‪ ،‬فإن العادات الصحية‬ ‫تعطي الطالب فرصة أفضل للبقاء أصحاء‪.‬‬

‫حديقة الحيوانات بالعين تستقبل العام الدراسي‬ ‫الجديد بباقة من برامج التعليم التفاعلي البحثي‬ ‫تستقبل حديقة الحيوانات بالعني العام الدرايس الجديد ‪ 2018-2017‬مبجموعة من الربامج و املناهج‬ ‫التعليمية و الرتبوية املتخصصة يف مجال علم اآلثار والتاريخ والجيولوجيا والعلوم الطبيعية والفيزياء‬ ‫واالستدامة و علم الحيوان و البيطرة و النبات ‪ ،‬مستهدفة جميع املراحل الدراسية بد ًء من رياض االطفال‬ ‫حتى طلبة الجامعات باالضافة لالكادمييني و الباحثني و أصحاب االختصاص ‪.‬‬ ‫و تضم مرافق الحديقة و برامجها التعليمية رحالت السفاري املخصصة للطلبة و املخيامت املوسمية و‬ ‫مشاريع التطوع و التدريب و غريها من باقات التعليم التفاعيل‪ ،‬باالضافة لحديقة االطفال االستشكافية‬ ‫التي تقدم مفهوما جديدا يف للتعليم التفاعيل عن طريق العاب املياه و الرمل و االلعاب الحسية ‪،‬‬ ‫باالضافة ملنطقة الحيوانات االليفة ‪،‬فيام يتصدر مركز الشيخ زايد لعلوم الصحراء مقدمة مستقبيل‬ ‫الطالب و املختصني من خالل ما يفوق ‪ 10‬االف مصدر معريف ورقي و ماليني املصادر املعرفية االلكرتونية‬ ‫ضمن أكرب مكتبة متخصصة يف العلوم البيئية بدولة اإلمارات ‪ ،‬كام يقدم املركز الرصح التعليمي االول‬ ‫عىل مستوى العامل العريب يف مجال حدائق الحيوان رحالت تعليمية و برامج تفاعلية ووسائط متعددة‬ ‫انتجت خصيصاً لهذا املركز باإلستعانة بخرباء ومتخصصني عامليني‪.‬‬ ‫تتنوع برامج مركز الشيخ زايد لعلوم الصحراء بني املايض و الحارض و املستقبل يف معارض متنوعة و‬ ‫تجارب سينامئية تعليمية و ثقافية مشوقة تختلف حسب املرحلة الدراسية ‪ ،‬فهناك برامج متخصصة‬ ‫مثل اشكال و انواع الحيوانات و خصائصها و مواطن النباتات و املجموعات الغذائية ملرحلة رياض‬ ‫االطفال ‪ ،‬فيام يقدم املركز لطلبة الصف االول حتى الخامس انشطة عن املواطن الطبيعية و الكائنات‬ ‫الحية و غري الحية وحواس الحيوانات و التنوع البيولوجي و حدائق الحيوان و جهود صون الطبيعة و‬ ‫تاريخ االحافري و الصخور و نظام االفالج و السلسة الغذائية و النباتات والحيوانات يف الصحراء و طبيعة‬ ‫درجات الحرارة و التعرف عىل انواع جديدة من الحيوانات و غريها‪.‬‬ ‫و يعلم املركز طلبة الصف السادس حتى التاسع كيفية تشكل الصحراء العربية و البصمة الكربونية و‬ ‫تكيف الخاليا النباتية والحيوانية الصحراوية وظاهرة البيت الزجاجي والكثبان الرملية ‪ ،‬فيام يستهدف‬ ‫املركز طلبة العارش حتى الثاين عرش بانشطة مختلفة تضم الفيزياء بقوانينها املختلفة و ظاهرة االحتباس‬ ‫الحراري و علم األثار و التنقيب ‪.‬‬ ‫و ذكر عمر البلويش مدير إدارة التسويق و االتصال املؤسيس باالنابة يف حديقة الحيوانات بالعني ان‬ ‫البحث و التفاعل و االستكشاف من اهم ركائز التعليم لدى الحديقة بهدف تحسني مخرجات التعليم‬ ‫التي تدعم التنمية التعليمية يف الدولة ‪،‬فباالضافة ملا نسعى اليه من صون الحياة الربية و تعزيز السياحة‬ ‫الوطنية ‪ ،‬نعمل بالتوازي مع منظومة التعليم فنحن نقدم برامج تعليمية منهجية و خطط فريدة من‬ ‫نوعها للطالب‪ ،‬حيث تتوافر الفرص لهم للتعلم واكتساب املعلومات من خالل مجموعة متنوعة من‬ ‫أساليب التعلم املبتكرة واملمتعة‪ ،‬تختلف عن البيئة املدرسية املعتادة‪.‬‬ ‫و اضاف نحن نقدم تجارب و برامج تعليمية مصممة باساليب حديثة تالئم مختلف املناهج والفئات‬ ‫العمرية ‪،‬ما يسهم يف إثراء املخزون العلمي لدى الطالب ‪ ،‬وال يقترص دورنا عىل طلبة املدارس فحسب‬ ‫امنا نقدم ثروة معرفية ورقية و الكرتونية من خالل اكرب مركز ابحاث متخصص عىل مستوى الدولة ‪،‬‬ ‫تخدم جميع املعنيني و املهتمني يف مجال صون البيئة و التنوع البيولوجي و الحفاظ عىل الحيوانات‬ ‫املهددة باالنقراض‪.‬‬

‫منذ افتتاح الحضانة بشهـر نوفمرب‪ 2015‬كانت مسرية األطفال التعليمية‬ ‫يف الحضانة ممتعة وناجحة دامئاً بالنسبة لهم وألهاليهم‪ ،‬وطاملا أن‬ ‫املنهاج املتبع يف الحضانة هو منهاج ‪ EYFS‬املشري ملرحلة التأسيس يف‬ ‫السنوات األوىل كان البد من دعم البيئة التعليمية بإضافة غرفة متعددة‬ ‫االستعامالت يف املبنى املجاور لخدمة األهداف املرجوة‪ ،‬وقد تطلب‬ ‫اعداد كل تلك األمور الهامة يف البداية جهدا ً كبريا ً وتم تجهيزها بفضل‬ ‫فريق العمل القوي يف الحضانة والحريص عىل العمل بإتقان وإخالص‪.‬‬ ‫وبعد أن تم تجهيز الحضانة‪ ،‬كانت الخطوة التالية هي عقد (ورشة‬ ‫التوجـيه واإلرشـاد) لألهايل‪ ،‬حيث أننا نؤمن بأهمية التعاون املستمر‬ ‫واالندماج بني املعلامت يف الحضانة وأهايل األطفال لتكون النتيجة‬ ‫النهائية رائعة وناجحة‪ ،‬وتم بالفعل عقد هذه الورشة املفيدة والتي‬ ‫اتسمت بأجواء لطيفة للغاية تم التحدث بها عن توقعات األهايل‬ ‫ورغباتهم وتوقعاتنا كذلك‪ .‬ونحمد الله أننا كنا محظوظني بتواجد أهايل‬ ‫متعاونني معنا للغاية وذلك منذ البداية‪ ،‬حيث قاموا بدعم أطفالهم كثريا ً‬ ‫لتسهيل تأقلمهم مع الدوام وللبقاء يف الفصول الدراسية‪ ،‬واستمرت هذه‬ ‫العالقة القوية واملثالية فيام بيننا وبني األهايل إىل يومنا هذا ونحرص‬ ‫دامئاً عىل تقويتها والحفاظ عليها‪.‬‬ ‫كام نؤكد دامئا بأن حضانة ليتل بريلز اتسمت بالقبول والشعبية‬ ‫بسبب البيئة الحميمة التي ارتاح لها أولياء األمور وبسبب الرتحيب الذي‬ ‫كان يلقاه كل من وطأت قدميه الحضانة‪ ،‬مام جعل األطفال وأهاليهم‬ ‫مرتاحني لتواجدهم بالحضانة‪ .‬كام كان لفريق عمل الحضانة دورا ً مهامً‬ ‫بهذه األجواء املريحة‪ ،‬حيث لن تستطيع أي حضانة التميز برعاية‬ ‫مثالية باألطفال من دون وجود فريق عمل متحمس ومتفاين لالهتامم‬ ‫باألطفال عىل أكمل وجه‪.‬‬ ‫باإلضافة لكل ذلك‪ ،‬فقد كنا محظوظني بالحصول عىل مبنى ذو‬ ‫غرف دراسية واسعة وحديقة خرضاء للعب لألطفال ومساحات‬ ‫ممتازة تجعل الطفل قادر عىل مامرسة األنشطة املختلفة‬ ‫بكل راحة وأمان‪ ،‬وتسهل عىل معلمي ومرشيف الحضانة‬ ‫االستجابة لرغبات األطفال وأفكارهم باأللعاب‬ ‫والنشاطاتاملختلفة‪.‬‬ ‫ومن الجدير بالذكر‪ ،‬أن هذه العالقات املميزة مل‬ ‫تحدث صدف ًة وبشكل مفاجئ‪ ،‬إمنا نشأت تدريجياً‬ ‫بعد افتتاح الحضانة وخالل عملها وكانت نتيج ًة‬ ‫للعب املعلامت واملرشفات الدائم مع األطفال‬ ‫ونتيج ًة الستجابتهم الرسيعة الحتياجاتهم‬ ‫ومتطلباتهم كذلك‪ ،‬وبهذه املامرسات والترصفات‬ ‫املحببة لألطفال‪ ،‬كنا متأكدين أنهم سيحصلون‬ ‫عىل الفرص املثالية لالستفادة من تجاربهم مع‬ ‫منهاج ‪.EYFS‬‬ ‫ومنذ افتتاح الحضانة‪ ،‬تم زيادة عدد‬ ‫الفصول الدراسية من ‪ 4‬فصول إىل ‪6‬‬ ‫فصول وتم كذلك تعيني موظفني جدد‪.‬‬ ‫وكان التدريب حينها بداخل الحضانة‬ ‫من قبيل أنا مديرتها والذي شمل كل‬ ‫التوقعات واملامرسات املناسبة من‬ ‫املوظفني خالل دوامهم بالحضانة‪.‬‬ ‫وبعد ذلك أصبح التدريب رضورياً‬ ‫بكل فصل درايس وكان يعقد داخل‬ ‫الحضانة وخارجها‪ ،‬وذلك بعدما‬ ‫الحظنا وأدركنا أهمية التطوير املهني‬ ‫ودعم جميع موظفينا‪ ،‬وذلك ساعد‬ ‫ودعم متيزنا مبجال رعاية األطفال‬ ‫وتأسيسهم خالل سنواتهم األوىل‪ .‬كام‬ ‫أننا وفرنا نشاطات إضافية خارج املنهاج‬

‫‘‪ ’Little Gym‬وكذلك حصص للغة العربية‪.‬‬ ‫كام من املهم أن نذكر حرصنا الدائم بالحضانة عىل مراعاة عادات‬ ‫وقيم املجتمع ومعتقدات وأفكار األهايل وتأكيدها وتقويتها بأذهان‬ ‫األطفال اليافعة‪ .‬بالبداية قمنا بإدخال بعض النشاطات الخاصة‬ ‫باملناسبات املميزة عىل املنهاج الدرايس‪ ،‬وقمنا بالرتكيز عىل مواضيع‬ ‫مختلفة استمتع بها األطفال كثريا ً‪ ،‬كاألنشطة املتنوعة التي تخص‬ ‫بلدان مختلفة والتعريف بها حيث يساعد ذلك األطفال عىل فهم‬ ‫وإدراك العامل املحيط بهم بشكل أوسع وأصح من خالل التعرف‬ ‫عىل العامل الخارجي ببعض ما يحتويه من موسيقى ورقص ومعامل‬ ‫مهمة‪.‬‬ ‫ويف السنة الثانية‪ ،‬قمنا بتنظيم أمسية توجيهية لألمهات وكل‬ ‫من يرغب بالحضور وكانت " للتوعية بالرسطان "‪ ،‬كام بدئنا عقد‬ ‫"ورشات عمل ألولياء األمور" تساعدهم عىل فهم آلية تطور الطفل‬ ‫وتوعيهم حول كيفية مساعدة أطفالهم لصقل مواهبهم‪ ،‬أول‬ ‫ورشات العمل التي عقدناها كانت " إدارة سلوك األطفال " ‪ ،‬ثم‬ ‫عقدنا محارضة بعنوان " كيفية الحفاظ عىل نظافة الفم " ‪.‬ميكنكم‬ ‫قراءة التعليقات الرائعة من أولياء األمور حولها‪:‬‬ ‫(شكرا لك سيدة الجيتا عىل ورشة كيفية السيطرة عىل سلوكيات‬ ‫األطفال التي قمتي بها‪ ،‬والتي كانت حقاً مفيدة للغاية والتي‬ ‫ساعدتني كثريا ً بالسيطرة عىل سلوكيات طفيل وتوجيهه باملنزل‪،‬‬ ‫وأصبحت واثقة أكرث بقدريت عىل استيعاب طفيل‪ ،‬نتمنى لو تقومي‬ ‫بعقد ورشات أخرى مفيدة لنا تساعدنا يف التعامل مع األطفال‬ ‫كهذه املحارضة)‪.‬‬ ‫(نشكرك جزيل الشكر سيدة أليسون لتنظيمك لهذه الورشة‬ ‫القيمة واملفيدة جدا ً لنا‪ ،‬حيث استفدت منها للغاية لرفع مستوى‬ ‫التحديات والطموحات التي أنظر لها‪ ،‬وأقوم حالياً بتطبيق هذه‬ ‫االسرتاتيجيات كام أمتنى لو تقومي بتنظيم املزيد من ورشات العمل‬ ‫هذه)‪.‬‬ ‫هنا بحضانة ليتل بريلز ندرك ونستوعب الدور املهم لنا يف متهيد‬ ‫األطفال وتحضريهم لالنتقال للمرحلة التالية‪ ،‬مرحلة املدرسة‪.‬‬ ‫وهناك بعض الصفات املميزة التي تبني جاهزية الطفل لدخول‬ ‫املدرسة وبدء رحلته التعليمية‪ ،‬كاستيعاب الطفل للسلوك املقبول‬ ‫واملتوقع منه وتحليه بقدر كاف من الثقة بالنفس وبقدرته للقيام‬ ‫ببعض األمور واحرتامه لذاته ولغريه وغريه من الصفات التي نعمل‬ ‫عىل غرسها والتأكد من تطورها لدى الطفل‪.‬‬ ‫ومبا أن بدء الدراسة يف املدرسة من أهم الخطوات يف حياة‬ ‫الطفل‪ ،‬فإننا نساعد األطفال لتسهيل الوضع الجديد لهم من‬ ‫سيصبحون طالب مدرسة بعدما كانوا أطفال يف حضانة‪ ،‬ويكون‬ ‫ذلك من خالل األنشطة املتنوعة ومن خالل " املجموعة املدرسية‬ ‫" التي تحتوي عىل مواد تعليمية ملواضيع مختلفة كالعلوم‬ ‫والرياضيات والقراءة والكتابة ليستخدمها الطفل باملنزل‪ ،‬ومع هذه‬ ‫االسرتاتيجيات املختلفة‪ ،‬سينتقل الطفل بطريقة سلسة من الحضانة‬ ‫إىل يف املدرسة‪.‬‬ ‫وبرحلتنا كفريق عمل الحضانة‪ ،‬قمنا بتأسيس حضانة عالية‬ ‫الجودة والتي قامت أساساً بجهود فريق العمل املتامسك والطموح‬ ‫لتحقيق أقىص التوقعات و املعايري العالية‪ ،‬كام ساهم أولياء األمور‬ ‫الراغبني بدعم أطفالهم للوصول ألقىص قدراتهم بوصول الحضانة‬ ‫لهذا املستوى‪ ،‬ونحرص عىل االستمرار بعملنا القادم بكل متعة‬ ‫وحامس والحفاظ مستقبالً عىل هذه العالقات املتميزة مع أهايل‬ ‫األطفال يف حضانتنا وتقوية التعاون فيام بيننا الستمرار التميز‬ ‫والنجاح‪.‬‬ ‫ونرحب بكل من يرغب مشاركتنا هذه الرحلة أو زيارتنا‪.‬‬ ‫" أصدقاء وأهايل الحضانة الداعمني لها دامئاً و املشاركني لخرباتهم‬ ‫معاً "‪.‬‬

‫بدء تفعيل «مواقف» في مدينة العين‬ ‫املطلية باللونني الرتكوازي واألبيض وبحد أقىص أربع ساعات‪ .‬الحكومية‪ ،‬وتتم عن طريق رسالة من الجهة الحكومية‬ ‫ونوه إىل أن مواقف توفر لسكان املناطق الخاضعة للنظام توضح العدد املطلوب من التصاريح‪ ،‬إضافة إىل أسامء‬ ‫خدمة الحصول عىل ترصيح السكان من خالل زيارة أحد املوظفني وأرقام املركبات‪.‬‬ ‫مراكز خدمة العمالء املتوفرة يف مدينة العني‪ ،‬حيث مينح دفع املخالفات والرسوم‬ ‫الترصيح مالك املركبة الذي يقطن يف املنطقة الحق يف إيقاف يتم دفع املخالفات عن طريق مراكز الخدمة التابعة للبلدية‬ ‫مركبته يف املواقف الفرعية املتاحة يف املنطقة املحددة يف أي واملوقع اإللكرتوين ملواقف ومراكز خدمة الرشطة‪ ،‬وتطبيق‬ ‫وقت من دون دفع أي رسوم إضافية‪.‬‬ ‫وزارة الداخلية‪ ،‬واملوقع اإللكرتوين للرشطة‪ ،‬واألكشاك‬

‫أعلن مركز النقل املتكامل بدء تفعيل خدمة مواقف‬ ‫يف خمسة قطاعات مبدينة العني يف املرحلة األوىل‪،‬‬ ‫ويأيت ذلك يف إطار إيجاد حلول مستدامة تسهم يف‬ ‫انسيابية حركة املرور أمام مركبات اإلسعاف والرشطة‬ ‫والدفاع املدين‪ ،‬والجمهور‪ ،‬ويعزز املظهر الحضاري‬ ‫والجاميل للمدينة من خالل عملية تنظيم املواقف‬ ‫للسكان وأصحاب املحال التجارية مام يحقق الرضا‬ ‫لجميع املتعاملني‪ ،‬ويحد من الوقوف العشوايئ وتبعاته‬ ‫كام يصدر الترصيح الخاص بالسكان ملالك السكن أو‬ ‫السلبية‪.‬‬ ‫املستأجر إضافة إىل األقرباء من الدرجة األول‪.‬‬ ‫وقال محمد حمد املهريي نائب مدير عام مركز النقل‬ ‫املتكامل‪ ،‬ورئيس فريق حركة الطرق واملواقف‪ :‬انتهينا ويتوجب عىل املتقدمني للحصول عىل ترصيح السكان‬ ‫من تجهيز كافة القطاعات املذكورة لتطبيق نظام تقديم املستندات املطلوبة وهي‪ :‬صورة من بطاقة الهوية‪،‬‬ ‫«مواقف» فيها‪ ،‬وسوف يشمل ذلك تركيب ‪ 121‬جهاز وصورة من جواز السفر مع إقامة سارية املفعول‪ ،‬لغري‬ ‫تحصيل لرسوم املواقف جاهزة للعمل‪ ،‬وتم توفري‪ ،‬املواطنني‪ ،‬وصورة عن عقد اإليجار أو ملكية السكن مصدق‬ ‫‪ 1376‬موقفا جديدا يف حي القصيدة‪ ،‬و‪ 1175‬موقفا حسب األصول‪ ،‬وآخر فاتورة للكهرباء مع ملكية املركبة‪،‬‬ ‫يف حي الربينة‪ ،‬و‪ 1107‬يف حي النواس‪ ،‬و‪ 1166‬يف حي وإثبات قرابة من الدرجة األوىل ملالك املركبة يف حال اختالف‬ ‫الحمرية‪ ،‬و‪ 867‬يف حي السالمة‪ ،‬كام أن تفعيل نظام اسم مالك املركبة عن اسم املستأجر أو مالك السكن‪.‬‬ ‫دفع الرسوم يف هذه املناطق من الساعة ‪ 8‬صباحا وتبلغ الرسوم السنوية لترصيح السكان لغري املواطنني ‪800‬‬ ‫وحتى منتصف الليل يوميا من السبت إىل الخميس‪ ،‬درهم للترصيح األول‪ ،‬و‪ 1200‬درهم للترصيح الثاين‪ ،‬بينام‬ ‫وبتعرفة درهمني للساعة أو‪ 15‬درهام لليوم بأكمله هي مجانية لألرس املواطنة سكان الفلل وبحسب تقرير‬ ‫للمواقف الفرعية ذات األرصفة املطلية باللونني املفتش‪ ،‬وللمواطن ساكن الشقق أربعة تصاريح مجانية‬ ‫(الرتكوازي واألسود) و‪ 3‬دراهم للمواقف الرئيسة خاضعة ملوافقة الدائرة‪ ،‬و‪ 1200‬درهم لتصاريح الجهات‬

‫اإللكرتونية التابعة لـ‪ MBME‬عىل أن يكون الدفع نقدا ً أو‬ ‫عن طريق بطاقة ائتامن‪ ،‬أما دفع الرسوم فيكون عن طريق‬ ‫مراكز الخدمة التابعة للبلدية‪ ،‬واملوقع اإللكرتوين ملواقف ‪-‬‬ ‫التطبيق الذيك‪ ،‬وتطبيق وزارة الداخلية‪.‬‬

‫كام أهاب املركز مبستخدمي مواقف عدم إيقاف مركباتهم‬ ‫بشكل خاطئ‪ ،‬أو يف املنطقة املحددة باألصفر والرمادي‬ ‫أو وسط الشارع أو املواقف املزدوجة أو يف ممرات املشاة‬ ‫عند املداخل أو األماكن املخصصة إلطفاء الحريق‪ ،‬ويف هذا‬ ‫الصدد يذكر املركز برضورة مراعاة عدم الوقوف يف األماكن‬ ‫املخصصة للسكان من الساعة التاسعة مساء حتى الثامنة‬ ‫صباحاً‪ ،‬وتعفى مواقف الجمهور من دفع الرسوم يف أيام‬ ‫الجمع واإلجازات الرسمية‪ ،‬كام يتوجب عىل الجميع اتباع‬ ‫اإلرشادات والتعليامت الخاصة بكل حوض مطبق فيه نظام‬ ‫مواقف‪ ،‬تجنبا للمخالفات‪.‬‬ ‫االتحاد‬

‫أعلنت موسوعة غينيس لألرقام القياسية رسميا عن تسجيلها أكرب كمية‬ ‫صب متواصلة للخرسانة اإلسمنتية بالعامل يف دولة اإلمارات العربية املتحدة‬ ‫– ديب و بكمية خرسانة بلغت‪/ 21.580 /‬مرت مكعب ملبنى تجاري سكني‬ ‫يف منطقة جبل عيل‪.‬‬ ‫وحرض مراقبو موسوعة غينيس لألرقام القياسية عملية صب الخرسانة التي‬ ‫استغرقت ‪ 35‬ساعة و‪ 19‬دقيقة يف منطقة جبل عيل والتي بدأت يف الساعة‬ ‫‪ 7.21‬مساء يف ‪ 18‬مايو املايض وانتهت يف الساعة ‪ 8.46‬صباحا يوم ‪ 20‬مايو‬ ‫وذلك عىل مساحة ارض تبلغ‪/ 206212 /‬قدم مربع‪.‬‬ ‫ووفق وكالة أنباء اإلمارات‪ ،‬بلغ معدل صب الخرسانة يف الساعة الواحدة‬ ‫حوايل ‪ /611/‬مرت مكعب حيث تم تحطيم آخر رقم متعلق بالزمن‬ ‫املستغرق سابقا وتم استخدام عدد ‪ /18/‬مضخة خرسانية ومبعدل ‪2618‬‬ ‫نقلة قامت بها سيارات نقل خرسانة جاهزة لهذا الغرض‪ ،‬وبحضور ‪500‬‬ ‫عامل لكل وردية وبلغ عدد كمية حديد التسليح ‪ 2700‬طن ‪.‬‬ ‫وشارك يف هذا العمل ‪ /3/‬مصانع لتوريد الخرسانة وكانت مواصفات‬ ‫الخرسانة املستخدمة هي الخرسانة الخرضاء ‪/‬املستدامة‪ /‬املصنعة من مواد‬ ‫إسمنتية صديقة للبيئة وهي املرصح بإنتاجها يف مصانع الخرسانة املعتمدة‬ ‫يف إمارة ديب حيث تخضع كافة مصانع الخرسانة الجاهــــزة باإلمــــارة‬ ‫إلشـــراف ورقابـة بلدية ديب‪.‬‬ ‫‪8‬‬

‫يوجد أشياء كثرية يف الحياة تصبح بديهيات بشكل تلقايئ‪ ،‬كبعض القيم التي نتعلمها من‬ ‫الصغر‪ ،‬والتي ال بأس من التذكري بها وصياغتها بقوالب جديدة مختلفة لرتاها من منظور‬ ‫مختلف قد يعطيك النتيجة نفسها أو يزيد عليها قيمة ما‪ ،‬ليصب كل ذلك يف مصلحتك‬ ‫عن طريق تحسني الزاوية التي ترى بها نفسك واملقياس الذي تزين فيه األمور‪.‬‬ ‫وهذا ما يريدك الطبيب النفيس األمرييك واإلعالمي "دافيد فيسكوت" أن تشعر به عند‬ ‫قراءة كتابه "فجر طاقتك الكامنة يف األوقات الصعبة" ‪ ،‬كتاب يطرح أفكار ليست بغريبة‬ ‫أبدا لكن بطريقة جديدة مبسطة وقابلة للتطبيق‪ ،‬تشعر بني طياته أنك مستعد فعالً‬ ‫ألن تستقبل الحياة بحلوها ومرها بقلب وفكر منفتحني‪ ،‬وألن تجد السعادة الفعلية يف‬ ‫أبسط األمور‪ ،‬أفرد الكاتب يف كتابه فصول عدة مبثابة مفاتيح تساعدك عىل فتح أبواب‬ ‫جديدة يف حياتك‪ ،‬فقد شدد الكاتب عىل سبيل املثال يف أحد فصول الكتاب عىل أن ال‬ ‫تعتمد عىل اآلخرين لتحقيق سعادتك ‪ ،‬ألن ال أحد يعرف الطريق إىل إسعادك سواك‪ ،‬أما‬ ‫فيام يخص راحة البال يقول "فيسكوت" إن راحة البال تستلزم منك معرفة ما قمت به‬ ‫من عمل كان عليك القيام به ‪ ،‬وأن تغفر لنفسك اللحظات التي مل تكن فيها بالقوة التي‬ ‫كنت تريد أن تكون عليها ‪ .‬وهذا يتطلب منك اإلميان بالجوانب اإليجابية لديك وقدرتك‬ ‫عىل تحقيق تلك الجوانب‪ ،‬ويرى الكاتب أن جزءا كبريا من السعادة يعتمد عىل حب‬ ‫الذات وتقبلها‪ ،‬فقبول الذات ليس أمرا ً مستحيالً‪ ،‬وهو الوضع الوحيد الذي تستطيع تحقيق التطور من خالله‪ .‬إذا تقبلت حياتك بكل ما‬ ‫فيها‪ ،‬فلن تهدر أي جزء منها‪ ،‬فعندما تقبل ذاتك‪ ،‬ميكنك قبول العامل بأرسه‪.‬‬ ‫ومن أكرث الفصول التي أعجبتني تلك التي ينصح فيها الكاتب عدم انتظار الحب‪ ،‬فقط أمنح املحبة للجميع دون رشوط ودون انتظار يشء‬ ‫يف املقابل‪ ،‬ولن تكتمل السعادة مبعزل عن األصدقاء الحقيقني فيحثك الكاتب أيضاً عىل معرفة متى تكون محبوباً‪ ،‬فالحب النقي يوجد‬ ‫لذاته دون أسباب‪ ،‬أو رشوط‪ ،‬عندما تجد شخصاً يحبك لذاتك‪ ،‬أو لشخصيتك أو لطريقة أدائك لألشياء‪ ،‬أو لروحك املرحة‪ ،‬أو ألنه ببساطة‬ ‫يجد يف صحبتك اليشء الذي يشعره بقيمته‪ ،‬فاحرص عىل أن تكون صادقاً مع هذا الشخص‪ ،‬فهو يعكس أفضل ما فيك‪.‬‬ ‫تطول قامئة املفاتيح يف هذا الكتاب وال يسعني ذكرها جميعا لكنني سأختم ما بدأت بجملة رائعة ذكرها "فيسكوت" يف الفصل الذي‬ ‫يتحدث فيه عن الصدق‪ " ،‬إن مصدر معظم مشاكلك هو عدم قولك الحقيقة‪ ،‬لكن أعلم أن الحقيقة إن جرحت فإنها تجرح ملرة واحدة‪،‬‬ ‫أما األكاذيب فتجرح جميع من حولك طوال الوقت"‪.‬‬ ‫دمتم بخري وسعادة‬ ‫ديانا جودية‬
