CAREERS SUPPORT FOR ADULT LEARNERS 2025–2026

The Sheffield College holds the Quality in Careers Standard award and the Matrix Standard award for the provision of high-quality careers education, information, advice and guidance.

Qualified, experienced and impartial Careers IAG Advisers are available to offer a wide range of events and support for adult learners at the college.

This support can be tailored to adult learners to support them with their next steps and develop their career prospects.

CAREERS GUIDANCE

Students can self-refer through https://sites.google.com/sheffcol.ac.uk/thecareersservice or book appointments through the MyHub app

We recognise that adult learners present with a wide range of support needs and already have a bank of experiences, skills and qualifications. Personal careers guidance appointments can be used to receive support for next steps including career planning, careers coaching, course progression, decision making and recruitment and application support. We can also advise students from overseas how their qualifications compare with UK qualifications.
