Freshly sawn oak is one of the most beautiful and sustainable materials that we can use to make furniture. Oak absorbs CO₂ and even retains the harmful gas after felled. Pieces such as Yõso and Uku are made from solid oak that originated from sustainable forests that practise responsible forestry.

Kin is a family of elegantly strong mono-shell seating designed for Allermuir by Pearson Lloyd. Working with our moulded plastics provider RGE, we send 100% of our Polypropylene plastic from Sustain back to RGE for use in Kin’s plastic components.

Contour is the latest addition to our office chair range, designed for Senator by Pearson Lloyd, born from the concept that every component can be easily repaired.
Contour’s components are made from recycled polypropylene, and a removable upholstery option for both the seat and back that is offered in Gabriel Renewed Loop fabric.

Wool is a valuable natural resource, which is completely recyclable and too precious to be thrown away.
Wool Circle is Camira Fabric’s pioneering circular wool textile which is designed to save waste and support the reduction of carbon.
Made from Camira’s felted wool fabric offcuts, which are generated during our upholstery process, Wool Circle makes textile-to-textile recycling a reality and transforms surplus fabric into a beautiful new creation.
We commit to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 and by 100% by 2040. We also pledge to reducing scope 3 GHG emissions to net zero by 2050.*

Our 4000 onsite solar panels produced 16% of the UK manufacturing electricity we used last year.
We have bees...
We recently installed honeybee hives at two of our sites in Lancashire, and at our Ohio site in North America. Our employees at each site have been trained as beekeepers, and we plan to harvest the honey to use in our restaurants.
...and we plant trees.
Our amazing employees, together with local schools, have planted 30,000 trees on land owned by the Mustoe family. We expect to sequester 8,000 tonnes of carbon in their lifetime, as well and enhancing local biodiversity.
Our Senator Engineering site has also planted its own apple orchard, including 15 varieties of pollinating apples. There will be abundant fruit that staff will be encouraged to take home. Each tree will hold a plaque to commemorate someone special to each of the volunteers who helped.

Habitat for Humanity House Build
Twenty employees participated in Habitat for Humanity House Build days where they did everything from painting to hanging trim molding with nailguns.
Christmas Trees
Sixty designers in nine teams designed and decorated Christmas trees that were donated to Boys & Girls Clubs, Women’s Shelters, Nursing Homes and Sanctuary.
A Second Life for Fabric
Fabric does not go to waste in our factory. We donate bolts to IIDAs Zero to Landfill and Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat Playhouse Build Blitz
A dozen employees designed, built and donated a playhouse for a local family through this inspirational programme.
We invited 125 employees and their families to our fun day.
This year’s celebration was located at Cedar Point, where our people and their families enjoyed thrilling rollercoasters, performance acts and delicious food; all against the backdrop of the beautiful Lake Erie.
