Tydings says he is blessed to have the opportunity. Part of his drive comes from proving to the naysayers in his life and wishing to make his father proud. And just as important, the other part comes from the good vibe and message he passes to the audience and the feeling of getting it returned back. It’s not the attention, nor the lights. It’s the onstage zone he goes into while performing live. Those feelings drive this full-time musician to do what most people think of as a hobby. Thread Belly performs all over the Bay Area and surrounding Houston and Galveston areas. Tydings and Hector Porras (bass) are currently looking for a drummer with “a positive attitude, a drum kit (obviously), and lives in the Bay Area.” Tydings first CD is being produced, mixed, and mastered by Roland Belmarez. One of his original tunes "The Beach Song" will be released on the Will Play For Food III compilation disc on June 28. Tydings says he's a realist. He knows where his heart is and knows where he wants to be. His journey is well worth the effort.
