42 Division picnic set for Burrows Hall

Annual Highland Creek Heritage Festival slated for this Saturday

The festival with the “biggest little parade in Toronto” returns to Highland Creek Village with a full day of activities this Saturday. A crafters’ fair, classic car show, petting farm, beer garden, tea room and entertainment for children and adults are all part of the 29th Highland

Creek Heritage Festival in Scarborough’s southeast corner. An annual highlight packed with marching bands, Shriners and floats, the parade starts from the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 258 on Lawson Road at 11 a.m. and has a new route this year, crossing the overpass on

Highway 2A and heading west on Old Kingston Road before turning into Watson Street. Local merchants and the community associations of the Highland Creek, Centennial and West Rouge neighbourhoods all provide support to the festival. More event information is available at www.hchf.ca
