I’m really excited to share all the wonderful things we have planned for families from July through to Christmas.
Our RYC Youth Theatre have been working so hard all year, rehearsing and growing their skills — and it all leads up to their big summer musical, Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition, on Sat 12 Jul. You’ll also get to see some of our youngest stars from the RYC Minis joining the fun in the matinee performance. It’s a highlight of the year.
Then there’s Tewkesbury Live, where you can pop in for free workshops like Cut, Stick & Snack — a perfect chance to get crafty together.
This summer we’re lucky to have three brilliant family shows. Dinosaur Adventure Live is back with some seriously big Jurassic storms, Wind in the Willows will be performed outside at Victoria Gardens (which is just magical), and we’ve got the Taylor Swift Era’s tour, which normally sells out fast — so be sure to grab your tickets.
Later in the year, during half-term, we’re running a Halloween-themed Play in a Day workshop. It’s a fun way for kids to try out acting and get creative on stage.
And of course, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without our pantomime, this year, Jack and the Beanstalk. If your child wants to be part of the show, we’re inviting them to join the pantomime chorus — all the audition details are on page 5.
I can’t wait to see lots of you at the theatre soon.
Warmly,
Georgia Shire
