AUDITION INFORMATION Ballet students ages 8+ must audition with The Rock School and be placed in an appropriate level by Rock School Directors prior to enrollment.

Students may attend an audition on our audition tour, schedule an in-class audition, or submit a video audition.

SUMMER BALLET INTENSIVE 2018

Cabrini University Outings: All students are welcome to attend outings at an additional cost. Outings may include a day in New York City with a Broadway show, various shopping trips, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, a day at the beach, a historic Philadelphia Trolley tour, and Fourth of July Fireworks. The fifth week culminates with a sunset dance party dinnercruise with the shimmering Philadelphia skyline as a backdrop!

ACADEMICS

Rock Academics is offering the official, Princeton Review SAT Fundamentals course, during the 5-week Summer Intensive Program. Three days a week for five-weeks, students will receive 15 hours of live instruction that will help them master the content covered in the new SAT. Students will gain an understanding of the different question types and learn test-taking strategies. Classes will be held in the morning, prior to dance class. Space is limited and class schedule is subject to enrollment.

Fast Forward Dance

5 and 6-week students perform for an audience of 7,000 at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts and a Summer Showcase at Philadelphia’s Independence Seaport Museum.

After last year’s successful, inaugural, contemporary dance program, Fast Forward Dance, we are thrilled to offer this exciting program once again for Levels 2, 2X, and 3 enrolled in the 5-week session. Fast Forward Dance was created to develop the choreographic vision and contemporary dance excellence of its participants. Our instructors are highly-skilled mentors who believe relationship building and sound technique provide relevance for emerging artist. Our mission is to provide an integrated program where students connect with each other, faculty, and guest artists, in an intimate class structure, culminating in live performance. Students enrolled in Fast Forward Dance perform an extra dance at each of our public events.

The Rock School Residences are located at the Marine Club Condominiums and Cabrini University.

Resident students are provided with full supervision, fun activities, and a comprehensive meal plan at both The School’s Ballet Bistro and the Cabrini campus. All residence information is available on our website.
