432. American Contemporary Cranberry Lemonade Set in Hobnail Design 430. American Lady Doll “Cissy” by Alexander in “A Very Unusual Gown” 20” (51 cm.) Hard plastic socket head, brown sleep eyes, lashes, closed mouth, lady-shaped body with jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, brunette hair drawn from face and captured at back crown and nape of neck. Condition: generally excellent, shoes and jewelry missing. Comments: Madame Alexander, model 2100 from her series “A Child’s Dream Come True”. Value Points: rare costume comprising tagged mauve taffeta gown with snugly-fitted torso, flared sequin-trimmed decolletage, full-length gathered skirt with draped tri-color (mauve, aqua, gold metallic) hip sash which forms into a dramatic bow at the side hip and with tulle and taffeta matching petticoat. $600/800

Of cranberry glass with shaded white tinge on the hobnails, the set comprises lemonade pitcher with clear glass ribbed handle, ruffled edge and bulbous shape, along with six matching handled cups, each signed Lechler, and with matching clear glass tray with white beaded hobnail edging. American, late 1900s from a series created by Doris Lechler, learned scholar of children’s glassware of the 1880s-1930s. $300/400
