432. 1920s Cloth Boudoir Doll in Stylish Costume 29” (74 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, pronounced black eyeshadow, side lashes, accent dots at nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with upturned lip corners, bright red fleeced hair under wrapped turban, slender elongated arms and legs, stitchedon blue boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: 1920s, Value Points: beautifully-preserved boudoir doll is wearing her original stylish costume. $400/500

433. 1920s Cloth Boudoir Doll of Spanish Lady 18” (46 cm.) All-cloth doll of adult lady has pressed and painted facial features, glazed green narrow up-glancing eyes, dark smoky eyeshadow, fringed mohair lashes, single-stroke brows closed mouth with defined teeth, black fleece hair with curled lock in center forehead, cloth torso, long slender composition arms and legs with painted silver high heels. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: in pristine condition, the doll is wearing original Spanish style costume including elaborate mantilla and veil. $200/400

431. A Trio of French Character Dolls by Urika with Original Costumes 13” (33 cm.) -17”. Each has celluloid head with brown complexion (two with highly-glazed finish, and one with soft matte finish), large round eyes, button-shaped nose, large rubyred lips, and with brown cotton stuffed-over-armature body, two with celluloid hands and sewn on felt shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Urika, Poupée d’Art Flexible Brevete SGDG Paris Made in France (paper label on one). Comments: the dolls were presented as Bamboula and Bambouli, made by Urika of France, late 1940s. Value Points: unique and highly characterized art dolls, each with original costume. $500/800

434. Rare German Mohair Costumed Mice by Steiff 3 ½” (9 cm.) The creamcolored mohair mice couple has felt ears, handpainted accent details, black bead nose, felt paws and long tail; she with pink eyes and wearing factory-made red taffeta and black lace Spanish costume with rhinestone necklace; and he with black bead eyes and wearing gentleman’s formal suit and top hat. She has original Steiff button and yellow cloth label in ear. Excellent condition. Germany, Steiff, 1950s. $800/1100
