The wooden work table with natural finish has unusual nailed-on tinplate work surface and back splash, two drawers, and is laden with various wooden, pewter and tinplate utensils, along with an oval wooden box containing tiny lights for holiday tree (with label on box). 370. Pair, French Stockinette Cloth Dolls, Grand-Mere and GrandPapa, by Bernard Ravca from the Original Childhood Collection of Shirley Temple 16” (41 cm.) Portrait dolls of stockinette with stitched and painted facial features depict an aged man and woman, each with benign smile, white mohair wig, wrapped fabric body, wearing artist-made cloth country costumes and wooden shoes, the man holding a French newspaper, and the woman holding a little baby in blanket wrap. Condition: generally excellent, slight fading. Marks: Bernard Ravca Paris (original paper label). Comments: Bernard Ravca, circa 1940, the man holds an old French newspaper dated 1940 with news about the German invasion toward Paris. Value Points: from the original childhood collection of Shirley Temple, the dolls appeared in vintage photographs of her collection. Included is certificate of authentication. $500/700
