All-wooden doll with socket head, and press-carved and painted features, brown tin sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with painted row of teeth, original tacked-on brown mohair bobbed wig, wooden spring-jointed body, well costumed.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan 17, 1911 USA. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1918, the model was marketed as “Miss Dolly”. Value Points: all-original with well-preserved painting, wonderful original wig, costume including Schoenhut knit teddy, and Schoenhut stockings and grommet-hole shoes, and organdy dress and slip that appear to be original. $500/700
