,,We have truly remarkable and impressive Saudi minds especially among our youth. They possess a strong and courageous spirit, a deep cultural awareness, and a profound sense of professionalism. What remains is the commitment to action. Our ambition is vast enough to overcome these challenges be it unemployment, housing, or any other issue.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Red Sea Global (RSG) is building more than destinations. We’re building a bright future aligned with the bold ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030 a blueprint for national change, and all Development Goals. We are contributing to a prosperous and sustainable future for the Kingdom, as well as elevating its role on the global tourism stage.
GCEO Message ,,
We are not just transforming the future of Saudi tourism with landmark destinations such as The Red Sea and AMAALA, we are acting as a catalyst for an enhanced quality of life – putting people and planet first, and recognizing these as the Kingdom’s most precious assets.
We actively support the local community and innovative Saudi businesses by focusing on three main areas socio-economic impact, heritage preservation, and the environment. By doing so, we ultimately aim to uplift the communities surrounding our destinations.
In 2024 alone, RSG contributed $ 24 billion to Saudi GDP and our commitment to stimulating the private sector saw us award more than %70 of the total value of contracts to local companies.
On an individual level, we enable growth, education, and empowerment, equipping talented Saudi men and women with the skills they need in a diversified economy. Our bold aim is to train students for the jobs of tomorrow, as part of our goal to create across our destinations. Currently, %25 of the Saudis employed by RSG and our subsidiaries are from the local community.
We envision a region where time-honored traditions are not just preserved but actively reimagined in our communities.
Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s objective to preserve cultural components that are fundamental to national identity, we sponsored traditional camel racing events, as well as National Day parades.
In the town of Umluj, we host a regular market where the local community gathers to buy and sell agricultural produce, handcrafted goods, and traditional cuisine, and enjoy folklore performances and children’s activities.
Authentic cultural experiences are also woven into our guests’ visits, from locally inspired cuisine to artisan-led workshops.
The benefits of RSG’s regenerative environmental efforts are felt beyond the borders of our developments. From mangrove planting to protecting turtle nesting sites, we engage with local youth through volunteering programs, encouraging them to play an essential role in preserving our shared home for generations to come.
Through all of these efforts, we are ensuring that our destinations are transformative and inclusive for local communities and align with Saudi Vision
Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment.

GCAO Message
Dear Colleagues and Partners,
I am honored to introduce our social Responsibility inaugural annual bulletin. This bulletin marks a significant chapter in our journey to create meaningful lasting positive impacts across the communities we engage with. Our vision extends beyond building worldclass tourism destinations—it encompasses a deep commitment to enriching the lives, livelihoods, and heritage of the people who call the areas we are developing home. A milestone that underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering sustainable impact for local communities and driving cultural tourism forward. This bulletin reflects our dedication to fostering prosperity, and enduring positive change in the region we serve.
It highlights our collective efforts toward socioeconomic empowerment, cultural preservation, and upskilling the local population. We have stimulated inclusive economic growth through strategic investments and partnerships by supporting local businesses, SMEs, and entrepreneurial families engaged in small-scale economic activities.
Initiatives like our award-winning Jewar app, which connected thousands of users to real-time job opportunities, facilitated skill-building programs, and fostered meaningful community engagement. Indeed, the app has helped us hire more than 170 locals, greatly contributing to the 25% of our Saudi staff that are hired from the local area.
Meanwhile, establishing the TAMALA Farmer’s Cooperative has strengthened the local economy by streamlining supply chains, improving agricultural practices, and providing market access, empowering countless individuals, and families to achieve economic stability. Preserving and celebrating the unique cultural heritage of the Red Sea region is another cornerstone of our work.
This year, we successfully restored 11 traditional sailboats, initiating UNESCO registration for sailboat manufacturing skills and reviving a maritime legacy integral to our history, culminating in the highly celebrated Red Sea Classic Sailing Race.
This initiative breathed new life into a cherished tradition and engaged local artisans, performers, and businesses, reinforcing a sense of identity and community pride. Workshops and community events have further enriched our mission, ensuring that the intangible traditions of our region continue to thrive for generations.
A crucial aspect of our impact is the upskilling of local talents. Through programs like English for Tourism, we have equipped over 2,000 young men and women with critical language and hospitality skills, enhancing their employability within Saudi Arabia's burgeoning tourism sector. Training initiatives tailored to entrepreneurial families have also provided participants with essential business skills, enabling them to expand their enterprises and contribute meaningfully to the local economy.
To reinforce this commitment, we have established a specialized unit dedicated to managing and evaluating impact. The purpose of this unit is to enhance societal value, empower communities, and actively engage local stakeholders in decisionmaking processes. By maximizing outcomes, fostering effective and integrated partnerships, and aligning efforts across stakeholders, we ensure that our initiatives deliver tangible, farreaching benefits.
We firmly believe that sustainable development rests on three foundational pillars—social, economic, and environmental. Therefore, whenever a community is involved our dedicated Social Development department is the team to approach, as our focus on people and the planet drives everything we do.
None of these successes would be possible without our dedication of the team and the invaluable support of our partners and local communities. Together, we are building a future where socioeconomic development, cultural heritage, and sustainability converge, driving Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 forward. I invite you to explore the insights and achievements detailed in this bulletin as we reflect on a year of transformation and look forward to continued growth and shared prosperity.

Socioeconomic Empowerment
Preserving and promoting cultural heritage of the communities

EMPOWERING LOCAL ECONOMIES
A Commitment to Shared Prosperity
Employment creation is another cornerstone of our approach to socioeconomic development. Through initiatives like the Jewar app, we’ve connected thousands of locals to real-time job opportunities, offering a direct pathway to economic independence. Programs like English for Tourism have prepared over 2,000 young men and women with critical skills, equipping them for roles in Saudi Arabia’s growing tourism sector. These efforts inspire confidence and unlock opportunities for individuals eager to contribute to their communities and the region's future.
At RSG, our mission goes far beyond creating world-class destinations— it’s about empowering the people who have called this land home for generations. Socioeconomic empowerment is not just a pillar of our strategy; it is a reflection of our values and a testament to our belief in the potential of our local communities.
Capacity-building initiatives have further enhanced our impact, helping local businesses and entrepreneurs grow. Programs like Montaj supported 145 entrepreneurial families with essential training in pricing, branding, and project sustainability. Similarly, creative workshops such as perfumery training have introduced new skills to local residents, linking traditional crafts to modern markets and opening doors to entrepreneurial ventures. These initiatives reflect our commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering sustainable growth across the region.
One of our proudest achievements is TAMALA, the farmers’ cooperative we established to integrate local farmers into our supply chain. Rather than opting for well-established suppliers, we chose to invest in building TAMALA from the ground up. This required providing resources, technical training, and consistent support to farmers who were not initially prepared for such demands. Today, TAMALA is a testament to resilience and potential, enabling farmers to improve their practices, expand their operations, and take pride in their contributions to a project of global significance. Through TAMALA, local farmers are not just participants in our supply chain—they are active partners in a shared vision of growth and prosperity.

Why do we do this?
Because we believe that true empowerment means going beyond immediate benefits to build systems that ensure long-term growth. Our efforts are not charity—they are an investment in shared prosperity. We integrate local talent and businesses into our operations because we see extraordinary potential in people and their ability to create lasting value.
At RSG, success is measured not only by the destinations we build but by the lives we touch and the opportunities we create. Together, we are shaping a future where prosperity is shared, growth is inclusive, and the impact is enduring. This is not just about building destinations; it’s about creating a movement. A movement rooted in partnership, empowerment, and hope—a testament to what we can achieve when people and purpose come together.

Tons
Fertilizers distributed to local farmers
The Social Development team collaborated with the Sustainability, Environmental Compliance, Projects & Delivery teams to close the circular economy loop for food waste at RSG sites. Through this initiative, fertilizers produced from RSG’s food waste have been provided to TAMALA for distribution to local farms, supporting and benefiting local farmers.
The pilot phase, involving 20 tons of fertilizer, was highly successful, leading to an additional delivery of 45 tons, all of which have been distributed and utilized. This effort exemplifies RSG’s commitment to sustainable and regenerative practices.

Economic impact on Local Musicians and Craftsmen
RSG has successfully created numerous opportunities for local musicians and craftsmen reinforcing our commitment to community engagement and cultural preservation.
Local Talent Utilization
In alignment with our mission, we linked the Red Sea operators with local musicians and craftsmen. We agreed upon prioritizing hiring them whenever feasible. This policy not only elevates local talents but also ensures they receive the recognition they deserve within our events and initiatives.
As part of our cooperation with the Ritz Carlton to support craftsmen in the region, a five-day workshop were delivered by local handicraft experts. This workshop targeted the visitors, so they can live a very authentic live experience in making “fishing nets and ropes”.

Long-Term Contracts
The success of our events featuring local musicians prompted The St. Regis Red Sea resort and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve to explore long-term contracts with these artists. By transitioning from one-off performances to sustained engagements, we aim to provide local musicians with greater income stability and consistent opportunities for showcasing their talents.

CAPACITY BUILDING

Committing to Job Localization

RSG designed and developed a localization dashboard to streamline the hiring data relevant to our local communities. The dashboard is a powerful tool that provides valuable insights, enhances operational efficiency, supports strategic planning, and ultimately contributes to the overall success of RSG's Social Development localization efforts. The dashboard powers Data-Driven Decision Making by improved insights through centralized access to hiring data allowing managers to analyze trends and conduct performance tracking of key metrics such as time to hire, cost per hire, and retention rates to evaluate and improve hiring strategies.
The localization dashboard is a live and ever-evolving tool that requires regular updates, revisions, and modifications based on the changing inputs and expanding RSG's social scope.
The dashboard catalyzes enhanced reporting via generating customized reports for different stakeholders (executives, HR managers, department heads) based on their specific needs, and visualizing the data through charts and graphs to present data in an easily understandable format. In addition, talent management data can be generated to detect workforce gaps and address them promptly by understanding hiring needs and trends and monitor diversity by tracking diversity metrics to ensure compliance with diversity goals and foster an inclusive workplace.

Community and Cultural Engagement

COMMUNITY & CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT
Preserving Cultural Heritage through Community Engagement
RSG's Sailboat Restoration Initiative was supported by the Ministry of Culture (MoC) and drove a Kingdom-wide initiative to preserve the Red Sea maritime culture. Representing Saudi Arabia, RSG and MoC delegations actively participated in the UNESCO registration workshop for the traditional sailboat known as “sanbuk”. The workshop was attended by delegates from 15 Arab countries who shared the same craft and are keen to preserve it as an intangible cultural heritage. It was organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) in Doha, Qatar who ensured to collect all the relevant data about the craft.
The UNESCO registration will promote our maritime cultural heritage internationally and shed light on the deeply rooted craft in our communities. This will also set sail for creating maritime experiences that enable our destinations’ guests to learn more about the local cultural heritage and enjoy its authenticity and warmth.
A key pillar of our Social Development Strategy is to engage with local communities and preserve their local cultural heritage. This is crucial for RSG as it ensures obtaining the social license to operate as a developer of sustainable destinations, and to generate creative attractions focused on cultural tourism. By doing so, RSG invests in developing authentic experiences for our destinations’ guests and creating socioeconomic opportunities for our local communities.
Besides the restoration work on the sailboats, the UNESCO registration, and the revived sailing race, we capitalized on preserving our oral traditions and expressions. As a valuable part of our local cultural heritage, we engaged with our local communities to document folklore and historical stories. These stories are from documented resources and living memories of senior locals that were passed down to them from previous generations. Animating the locals’ interaction with their nature, the local stories add soul to our pristine natural wonders enabling our cultural tourism guests to appreciate the human aspect of our destination.
A case in point is the Red Sea Classic Sailing Race, which we launched on -24 26 October 2024 This initiative proved to be a unique cultural attraction that revives the heritage of sailing and showcases it to the Red Sea community, guests, and employees. The Sailing Race was a celebration of the beautifully restored sailboats by RSG's Sailboat Restoration Initiative. These traditional sailboats have a strong sentimental value among the fishing community that transcends any monetary value.
Cultural travelers seek to explore people’s stories and lifestyles. Exploring local traditional performing arts and enjoying music are on their to-do lists. Thus, we worked closely with our hotel operators to incorporate local music and traditional dances during their various events. The rich performances paint a rich picture with unique clothes, designs, and tunes.
Preserving local cultural heritage through community engagement is no easy feat. The subtle challenges that face our social team require a unique skill set and resilience. Strong communication and negotiation skills, cultural sensitivity, building trust and familiarity with the unwritten rules of the local community are basic requirements to successfully achieve our targets. Engaging the local community through cultural appreciation is a soft power that enriches our destination offerings, achieves our social sustainability goals, and maximizes the locals' benefit from RSG economic opportunities.

Innovation with Purpose: The Jewar Journey
SOCIAL MISSION AND MANDATE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This report details our first year's journey – the initiatives launched, partnerships formed, and lives impacted. But beyond the metrics and milestones lies a deeper story of community resilience and adaptation. We've seen traditional craftspeople embrace digital opportunities, young entrepreneurs discover new pathways to growth, and entire communities come together to participate in their region's sustainable development.
When we launched Jewar in December 2023 we envisioned creating a hub that would transform how we engage with and empower our local communities. One year later, this digital initiative has grown into something far more significant – a catalyst for socioeconomic progress that's reshaping how corporations and communities collaborate.
As we look to the future, our commitment to innovation remains steadfast, but always in service of our core mission: empowering local communities to thrive in an evolving landscape. The pages that follow outline not just what we've achieved, but more importantly, the foundation we've built together for years to come.
What began as a simple feedback mechanism has evolved into a comprehensive platform that empowers local communities across Umluj, Al Wajh, Al Ais, and Duba. The app serves as a vital link between RSG and the communities it serves, facilitating everything from job opportunities and skill development to environmental conservation and cultural preservation initiatives.
But Jewar's impact goes beyond its features. By focusing on removing barriers rather than adding complexity, the platform has created a space where community members can act as active partners in shaping their region’s future. Each program, job posting, and community initiative represents a step toward RSG's vision of regenerative tourism that aims to genuinely benefit the local communities and celebrate local culture.
