When the name of the institution changed in 1923, the newspaper was renamed the St. Mary’s College Bulletin, as of October, 1923 (Volume V, Number 1). The next fall, a school-wide contest was held to choose a new name for the publication -- thus, the first issue of the publication bearing the name, The Rattler, was published Oct. 15, 1924. In anticipation of its 100th anniversary, this unfinished document is meant to be a starting resource to help celebrate this milestone. Items to include when completing this document in the future: more information from 1919 to 1924, as well as spring 1964 to fall 1999. | Compiled by Brother Dennis Bautista, S.M., Ph.D., The Rattler Adviser 2008-2018.
