In October 2010, a group called ‘Expressions’, organized the first ever gay film festival at the INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES at Osmania University. The group continues to host movie screenings at the same venue on the 2nd Saturday of each month. The movie is open to a mixed crowd and it is usually followed by a discussion.

The first ever HYDERABAD PRIDE happened in October 2009 from Nizam College to Public Gardens. It was followed by a meeting at Lalita Kala Torannum at Public Gardens. Since then, a full fledged queer pride march has yet to be TQC’s correspondents report that there are NO
