Message from our Pastors.

This past year has been full of incredible moments and celebrations. We are deeply thankful for the provision to do all He has called us to do, from Next Gen ministry to conferences, it has been a fruitful and impactful year! We love this time of year because in this Legacy Season we take time to look back and celebrate all that God has done and to look ahead at all He has in store for us!

We are full of gratitude and HOPE! We have seen and heard so many stories about personal life transformation and spiritual growth. Our hope is that you prayerfully read this Legacy Report and take some time to reflect on all that God has done in your own life in the last year. As we look to the future and what’s in store for us next, we invite you to celebrate and dream and partner with us!

So much has happened in response to our prayers, our obedience and willingness to partner with God, and our continual generosity.

We’re just getting started, though! Greater Things are still to come!!

We know that as the Word tells us, when we are planted in God’s house, we will flourish, but also generations to come will flourish!

This report outlines the flourishing as a result of YOUR plantedness in this house. There is so much to celebrate and thank God for!

Thank you for your faithfulness, generosity, and support to the mission and vision that God has given us. Together we can go further and accomplish more than we ever could individually!

WOW, this past year has been full of growth! With a Sunday morning attendance increase of 54%, we have seen so many individuals and entire families whose lives have been TRANSFORMED! We continue to be in awe of and blessed by the testimonies of genuine life change that God is doing in the lives of those who are coming to TPC. We believe that God desires for every person to know Him, and that’s why we are excited to celebrate with the 35 people as they took a step in their faith by getting baptized! Baptism is an act of obedience that demonstrates a life changed by and committed to Jesus Christ and we are thrilled for these 35 individuals who have taken this step this year!

Find Freedom It’s been an incredible year of small group ministry! Life change happens in the context of real relationships and that we find true freedom when we find connection with others in a community of Christ followers. Community is part of God’s design for us as believers, and our walk with Jesus is deepened when we have people to walk alongside us.

Every semester of 2023 we have seen 62-82% of our adult church members be a part of a small group community! That’s a lot of life change happening! With groups ranging from interests based to Bible studies, to discipleship, to financial freedom, we’ve seen people grow in their faith and relationships and personal discipleship.

With a 2023 total of 39 groups and hundreds attending, our hats are off to the dozens of leaders who have said YES! to leading the way, hosting groups, and caring for people! If you’re not in a group yet, we encourage you to find a group, get planted, and see how your spiritual life grows!

Think 3!

Purpose Kids The most important investment we can make is in the next generation, and this is why we champion every believer to Think3 – a spiritual perspective to think three generations beyond ourselves knowing that the decisions we make today will either be stepping stones or stumbling blocks for future generations. As a church, we are COMMITTED to developing, discipling, and pouring into the next generation.

This fall, we launched our second year of Purpose Kids Small Groups using the proven discipleship program, Awana. Thanks to the generosity and faithfulness of TPC’s financial givers, we were able to expand our mid-week campus facility to accommodate Wednesday night kids and youth programs. With over 60 elementary kids and dozens of committed adults, we are seeing children MOTIVATED, excited, and having a blast memorizing God’s word, learning Biblical truths, and building meaningful relationships.

Kids Camp God did AMAZING things in our group that went to Kids Camp this summer! As a church, we came together and a fun Sent Off for a group of 31 people; 24 kids and 7 adults to Camp Zephyr where they spent 4 days learning that God is BIG, God is POWERFUL, God LOVES Me, and God has a PURPOSE for Me. It was a powerful week and it couldn’t have happened without the love and support of our amazing church!

Purpose Youth This has been an incredible year for our Purpose Youth! This amazing group of junior high and high school students serve in areas all across the church every Sunday teaching kids, toddlers, and preschoolers, welcoming guests, and so much more. Every Wednesday night over 40 students and leaders gather for fun, friendships, faith building, and worship.

Each week students are being equipped to love and follow Jesus and their lives are being changed as a result.

In the summer they attended Youth For the Nations summer camp and a group of 30, 24 students and 6 leaders, to spend a week immersed in spirit filled worship services, dynamic biblical teaching, and out of this world fun nations games. As with our Purpose Kids, your faithfulness and generosity is forever changing the lives of our Purpose Youth; thank you, Church, for your partnership to disciple the Next Generation! Growth Track

Every person is created by God on Purpose and for a Purpose! This year we’ve helped equip 103 graduates of Growth Track to discover their God-given gifts and to live out their Purpose! Every month we are seeing families make TPC their home, join teams, and make a decision to be planted and rooted in God’s house. When we are planted, we flourish!

Make a Difference God is definitely building His Church! We are so excited to celebrate that in the last 12 months we have seen an increase of 60% in our Dream Team! We celebrate the 161 Dream Teamers who are making the decision to Live on Purpose! Each Dream Teamer makes a valuable contribution to the health and vibrancy of TPC, and we’re so proud that they are choosing to live out their calling by using their gifts and talents to serve others in the church and the community. We are able to accomplish so much more when we work together and we know that there is no US without TEAM! There is no feeling like being on a team that is impacting people’s lives today and for eternity.

Serve Day 2023 The best part of Church is often what God is doing through people outside of the church building, and this year’s Serve Day is testimony to that! We believe in making an impact and making God known in the communities we’re a part of!

This year we had projects in Schertz, Cibolo & surrounding areas. These included partnering with Love Where You Live to help 4 local families with tree trimming and extensive yard work, and providing hands-on support to local nonprofits like Boysville Thrift Store, Children’s Hunger Fund, and Haven For Hope Kitchen. Thank you, TPC, for loving and serving our community!

School of Leadership One of the greatest needs for the body of Christ is great leaders and that is why we are so proud of and grateful for an intrepid group of eleven interns who will be graduating from the Purpose School of Leadership in December. Every year Pastor Landon takes a group through two semesters of leadership training through the Purpose School of Leadership. This year’s Leadership School students will have a huge impact on TPC with their growth, knowledge, practice, and coaching!

Feel like leadership may be for you? Then the Purpose School of Leadership is for you! A new year of interns will begin in January 2024!

Outreach

This year we have had many opportunities to serve our community and to make an impact in Jesus’ name! We had several TPC members serve our community in various ways in 2023, including neighborhood outreaches, serving at the Schertz Christmas Hollidazzle, and an outreach small group of dedicated volunteers who serve the community every single week.

We are also so excited about a new outreach TEAM that will work together to find ways we can continue to make an impact on those in our community. The heart of our church to love on people outside of TPC is HUGE and we know the impact has been great!

Conferences It has been a dream for years to host marriage and parenting conferences and this past year, because of the generosity and faithfulness of TPC, we were able to strengthen marriages and families through two separate conferences!

Parent University was an amazing afternoon of learning, growing, and sharpening our parenting skills. Knowing that, as parents, we are our children’s greatest influence, we were blessed to learn from Pastor Kirk Freeman and our own pastors on ways to lead and disciple and love our children well. Our amazing Dream Team served over 100 children during this conference while their parents were being equipped–it was truly an incredible day!

MADE TO LAST MARRIAGE CONFERENCE! Wow, what a fun weekend Made to Last was! We had a great time laughing and learning from Pastors Jeremy and Lindsey Bosma who came all the way from Las Vegas to invest into the individuals and marriages of TPC and the community.

We laughed, cried, partied, and had the best fajitas and desserts. We believe that marriages built on Christ are marriages that will last and as we strengthen marriages we strengthen the church who will impact our world for Jesus.

Greater Things Campaign In spring of 2021, we launched our Greater Things Building Campaign where we began our journey towards purchasing a permanent facility. We kicked off Greater Things with a First Fruits Offering that same year, a special time where we came together to sow into this campaign with the purpose of positioning us to be able to make a down payment to purchase either a building or land.

In September of this 2022, because of the generosity in these efforts, we were able to purchase 4.73 acres of land on I35 in Schertz, TX. We have seen God move in tremendous ways and with great favor towards us, and we know there are many miracles still to come!

Thank you to everyone who has made a pledge commitment and for giving towards this dream. Together, we will see God’s vision come to pass!

This year for our Legacy Offering, we are believing God that together we can raise $50,000. This special end of year offering will accelerate our ability to move forward with our building project. This Legacy Offering will significantly move us forward by covering the expenses that would get us: • Blue prints of the building • Digital renderings of the building • Cost analysis to be able to break ground and begin building!

Together we can do so much more and with our generosity and sacrificial giving, we will see it accomplished sooner!

21 Days of Prayer In January and September of this year we have had a focused season of prayer. Through these prayer initiatives, we continue to see people experience deeper faith, renewed passion and spiritual focus, and growing in a deeper relationship with Jesus. We heard many stories of personal breakthroughs and testimonies of answered prayers!

This September we joined together on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Church’s land for a special time of Land Prayer Walks. It was amazing what God did in the hearts of those who came. God is preparing a future permanent home for TPC!

CURRENT GIVING PARTNERS Monthly During 2020’s Legacy Offering we were able to help Jesus House Odessa launch their Woman and Children’s Center. Here woman and children can receive a new beginning through housing, food, counseling and more!

Project Based Whether it’s after a disaster, feeding a hungry child, or helping a parent put food on the table, Convoy of Hope is proud to deliver your kindness to those who need it most.

ARC is an association of relational churches working with church planters and church leaders to provide support, guidance and resources to launch and grow life-giving churches.

In a culture that often celebrates individual achievement and being on top, Leading Second exists to raise up the kind leaders every pastor would kill to have on the team. Leaders who are all-in, heart and soul for Jesus, His Church, and their team’s mission.

This is going to be an amazing day celebrating the legacy of those who have gone before us that has positioned us for this very season we’re able to walk in, as well as a spiritual and faith-filled look to the next year and all that God wants to do in and through us.

Legacy Sunday will be a time where we celebrate all that God has done and will do! We’ll bring our Legacy Offerings together on November 19th as an act of worship and we will celebrate all that God does. Our Purpose Kids teachers will be leading our kids in this as well and they will have a special part in Legacy Sunday.
