Media as seen by youths
How do media students perceive today’s media landscape?

The media is caught between obstacles and hopes; this topic has been tabled and discussed numerous times in order to find a point of convergence that combines realities and expectations. We are accustomed to viewing media from the top... including media institutions, notable media experts, international press…etc, but what if we start from the bottom of the ladder?
In an interview with Mashari bin Kanan, a pre-graduate student at King Saud University College of Media
His specific major is audiovisual media which he chose because he likes the field and wants to contribute to the creation of artistic content to enrich the current media landscape. This is due to his passion for film montage and visual production, and he strives to create valuable works that reflect his thoughts and hopes
He chose to join the media club at the beginning of his college career, believing in the relevance of college clubs in scientific and social enrichment. He is now the production committee›s vice president. In the spirit of his experience, he advises students to always check out various clubs and make the most of them
Moreover, he started working while still in college, rejecting all the hype about how difficult it is to balance school and job. So… Has his job had a negative impact on his education?
Translated by: Shoug AlrajhiMashari does not deny that it was difficult, but it was worthwhile. He considers it as one of his unique experiences that taught him about the nature of work outside of the educational setting. Yet, it provided him with experience that allowed him to overcome obstacles in his major that he would not have understood without prior experience and competence.
No one can deny that there are many people who have thrived in the trendsetting field, even though their specialties were not related to the media or its branches, but they are unusual cases. The reasons for this vary greatly; some are a gift he has had since a young age, while others discovered a supportive atmosphere that allowed them to be creative in this field
Nonetheless, this does not mean that media work does not necessitate specialist scientific knowledge. «Definitely, my university studies in this major added a lot to me,» Mashari says. “I am currently working on projects and have an academic background in what is good and wrong»
Advice for individuals interested in the media field

Media is a renewed profession that necessitates ongoing awareness of big world happenings. Every passing instant, there will be news that should be published, a tale that should be told, or an image that will change the course of an event if it is shown, and the successful journalist does not overlook any of these aspects. So, what is Mashari›s plan for keeping up with events?
He responded by stating that he informs many various audiovisual production projects since they improve his visual and auditory senses and increase his sense of creativity. He advises everyone, especially media students, to be open during the viewing process so that they do not confine themselves to a field or a concept and have a thorough understanding of all that is going on around them.
Working in the media does not necessitate a university degree
Graduate working in the field
by: lama bandar AltaifiAT PRINCESS, NOURAH BINT ABDUL RAHMAN UNIVERSITY SEEKS TO QUALIFY A SUCCESSFUL SCIENTIFIC CADRE IN VARIOUS PRACTICAL DISCIPLINES THAT'S FOCUSED ON PREPARING FEMA LE GRADUATES WHO CAN PRACTICE ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND THOSE RELATED TO DIFFERENT FIELDS TO HELP STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE MECHANISM OF WORK IN COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONS AND TO GIVE THEM EXPERIENCE AND APPROPRIATE TRAINING. IN AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION

Field training is a set of skills and experiences that are offered to students within an institutional framework to help students to acquire various knowledge, field experiences, and technical skills, in addition to modifying their characteristics and behaviors, so that it contributes This hugely contributes to professional development by linking theoretical knowledge and practical application and providing them with the opportunity to discover their capabilities, desires, and the needs of the labor market in the Kingdom in line with Vision 2030 to achieve a sustainable Saudi vision that works to increase quality and prepare qualified graduates for work
In a brief dialogue with Sarah Fahd Al-Maqati, a graduate of the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences - Epidemiological Sciences
We have discussed relevant questions and what is in female students' minds entering the labor market:
Are there any skills that students should develop before entering the labor market, whether on a personal or professional level?
Studying at university is a great opportunity for female students to develop their personalities and to volunteer in various fields. In addition to increasing their expertise and enriching their experiences, it provides opportunities to develop self-confidence
How can a student succeed in the labor market?
As well as mastering the English language basics, one must also develop personal skills. To achieve this, it needs to be willing to work to the fullest extent possible.
How would you describe your working experience?
As a young person entering the workforce, I had difficulties dealing with auditors, doctors, and even labor laws themselves. It was challenging for me to adapt, though I tried to learn quickly so I could move on

How does the job market compare to academic life?
From my point of view, there was nowhere. In the workplace, you must find information about numerous challenges both professionally and personally. Meanwhile, academic life relies on receiving information directly during class.
Finally, what advice would you give to students seeking employment?

Focus on personal and professional development, develop your skills, and don't limit yourself to a particular field, even if it falls within your specialty. students should care more about skills than knowledge itself, develop their skills, and focus on themselves. It is also important to be able to adapt quickly to all difficulties, challenges, and obstacles.

In your opinion, is artistic creativity acquired or innate?
The talent may be acquired, but some are innate, and each is different from the other. The innately gifted may have less effort in their artistic career than others The innately gifted can know what is lacking in his painting, the decorations his painting needs, and the framework of identity that distinguishes it Creativity, whether innate or acquired by the artist, also requires training that gives the practitioner more experience.

The General Corporation of Water Desalination participated in a discussion meeting at Princess Nourah bint Abdul Rahman University on Thursday, December 22, 2022 AD, which took place at the university's Conference and Seminar Center. in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Enas Al-Issa, employees of Princess Nourah University and its students, ... with His Excellence the Governor of the General Corporation for Water Desalination. Abdullah AlAbdul-Karim He introduced the conference by discussing the strategic importance of the desalination sector in the Kingdom. He noted that the Kingdom produces 6.3 million cubic meters of desalinated water each day, making it the nation with the biggest desalinated water output globally.
By breaking the previous record of 5.9 million cubic meters, creating this new record, and significantly increasing production, the industry is highly competitive solely with itself. His Excellency continued by stating that the corporation hopes to lower production costs in the near future by adopting cutting-edge technologies.

he encouraged us, the students, to observe the training programs the institution offers, adding that he does not see the future with anything other than our eyes, the youthful women and men of the country, and that the institution welcomes any request or idea for the development of the institution
Mr. Nasser Al-Hamid, who highlighted that work on water desalination requires a diversity of professions and that every innovator capable of change has a position in this superstructure, continued to speak about the development, training, and empowerment of skills. He persisted in discussing environmental sustainability and innovation with a number of important figures at the school, whose conversations benefited the learners

Every aspect of the world has long intrigued the curiosity of humans, who have a desire to unravel its mysteries. This curiosity has driven them to explore, and allowed science to advance gradually. However, human curiosity went beyond the confines of the nation in which we live in, propelling them to delve deeper into outer space and its contents.
One activity that carries a significant danger is space exploration. Space is frequently discovered remotely, using massive telescopes, specialized robots equipped with the latest technology, or by space flights. This is due to the lack of oxygen as well as other difficulties such as the closeness to discovering the horizons of space and its unknown borders.

The lack of gravity makes it impossible for seeds to be planted in one spot, and the lack of natural light and ventilation makes water droplets scatter and fly instead of it being directed at a specific direction. Nevertheless, NASA believes that space agriculture is essential for future generations

The astronauts should obtain a source that can supply them with food during the lengthy space missions of the future, which are expected to last for months or even years. Thanks to the work of agricultural experts and the contributions of students, the required experiments to address this issue were carried out. So far, laboratory experts have found 106 plant species that can thrive in space. Plants such as cabbage, lettuce and potatoes that are inherently planted to mimic outer space conditions, which were planted by multiple students from various schools. These fascinating experiences are not without challenges, however, such as the amount of water that is supplied in it and the meticulous monitoring and reporting of their growth to NASA by students using lights that simulate the quality of light in spacecraft
The crops may be neglected when the students are on a school break due to excessiveplanting, variable temperatures, and other factors. Also, these failures may be useful for study, and (Gia) an expert at NASA (if a plant is able to withstand under these circumstances, this means that it will stand in space). A number of astronauts took turns residing on the International Space Station in the Earth’s orbit , at a height of 400,000 meters from its surface, also they were faced with some failures in space agriculture, due to irrigation imbalance or lighting. In 2015, they were able to taste the first salad made using vegetables grown at their station, and although the quantity was very small, it was an indication of success in this area. Only water and a light source that is growing in its direction are required for the plant to develop; gravity is not required.

Cultivating plants and sustaining their life during space flights is one of the important things that should be taken into account, because any defect, no matter how small or large, will lead to serious consequences, and for this reason, scientists have adopted a series of important procedures such as harvesting different varieties of plants to compensate for species that are susceptible to perishing in outer space conditions
and also devising ways to increase the resistance of these plants to diseases prevailing in outer space. The majority of these modern innovations and discoveries, which were the product of the human mind, were at their beginning a mere fleeting fantasy, and then soon after they were brought to life at the hands of scientists who embodied them as a living and tangible reality in human life.

Because it helps to reinforce the links between present and future generations, heritage plays a crucial role in our lives. Since it is a wealth of information about literature, culture, and customs passed down from generation to generation, it is both a window into the history of any society and a crucial component of our identity. Heritage is seen as the embodiment of cultural and historical values and demonstrates the practices and traditions that our ancestors followed, which have an impact on the present and future. This demonstrates that it has a history thanks to its wealth of legacies and diversity.
WeareproudofourSaudihistory,whichincludesoneoftheoldestandmostmagnificentremnants.
We begin with the Ardah Al-Najdi, which was established by the founder, Abdulaziz bin Saud, may God have mercy on him, during the unification of the Kingdom and is seen as a symbol of victory at the battle. Al-Bayrak is a sword that is 3 meters long, has distinct physical and psychological features, and does not belong to just any person. One family inherits Al-Bayrak, including the Al-Mutarrif and Al-Ghawenem families, who have carried it from the Ardha’s founding during the reign of King Abdul Aziz. Each occasion includes a unique poem that concludes the presentation of the many poems. In every way, it is incredible!
Now that we have moved from its heart to its southern highlands, what about the southern ardha?

The reason it was given the name “Ardah” was because of the strength and abundance it displayed. The use of weapons, such as swords in the past and rifles more recently, had a significant role in this process. The poetic character in the performance is dominated by a character of pride and pride, or it may be a satire in the opponent, and this is the understanding that the performance is trying to highlight strength and dominance, so the audience will not be entertained. Sometimes there are two poets competing in their ability to entertain the audience.
The Ardah is now observed even on joyous occasions as a cause for celebration and pride.
We can see that the Southern Ardha combines linguistic eloquence, quick wit, physical fitness, and daring as well. These are qualities that man in the south first acquired due to his environment, as the mountainous environment with harsh geographical and climatic conditions necessitated upon him these qualities that are inherent in his person and are clearly seen in the performance of the Ardha. If we compare it to the Najdi Ardah, for instance, it is evident that there are differences in the rhythm and performance. The other is distinguished by a rhythm that is relatively sluggish, even in poetic verses, so it is lengthier than that in the south, and its presentation is more elaborate. Due to Najdi’s flat and expansive desert environment, simplicity and equality predominate in performance.

We observe that the Southern Ardha blends linguistic elegance, quick humor athletic ability, and daring as well. These are traits that an individual in the southern region initially gained due to his circumstances, as the mountainous environment with harsh geographical and climatic conditions necessitated onto him these qualities that are inherent in his person and are clearly seen in the performance of the Ardha.

Fashion as a cultural legacy
The outfits depict the culture, traditions, and appearance of the wearers. The Saudi national costume is huge and diversified. Each location has its own outfit that fits the lifestyle and nature of existence. We take the locals of Najd as an example and observe that their clothing is simple and made of light textiles. To fit the nature of the hot desert heat, men typically wear white as their primary clothing. Women in Asir wear the side skirt (the left one), which is made of a variety of materials including cotton and velvet and is embroidered with silk threads, throughout the summer. Regarding the feminine hygiene items available in Saudi Arabia,
Heritage is a living entity that gives us a sense of place in our country. It is our cultural memory that enables us to first understand ourselves before learning about and accepting the other, opening up the potential of communication. Our firm foundation is extended with a clear vision and a normal thought without isolation from the other when our cultural history is correctly interpreted. There is no seclusion.
The significance of heritage as a significant economic return in tourism is not a secret to anyone. The development of tradition and culture across the board has been a priority for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Vision 2030 for Tourism serves as an illustration of this, as it focuses on making the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the main destination for tourism in the world.
