The Portsea Camp
Was established in 1946 & is a non denominational and registered charity governed by a Board of Directors and is situated on Boon Wurrung land. The Portsea Camp community is enabled through the commitment, care and passion of an operational team and network of volunteers.

OurPurpose
Is to provide...
Community and charitable services for at-risk child
This includes support for children with neurodiversi those impacted by developmental trauma, child pro violence, kinship care, and children affected by regio disadvantage.
The camp operates as a social enterprise, using prof charitable programs such as camps and outdoor ed receiving no government funding pre-covid, we are offering subsidized programs to those in need, inclu bushfire-affected regions.

The Portsea Camp saved my life.....living with domestic violence ... it's one week of the year I know he will be safe and I don't need to worry about him.

SANDRAMARTIN
Sandra Martin, our CEO has over 15 years experience in executive leadership roles in the NFP sector and is certified in educational and developmental psychology.
Sandra has already pivoted the camp through the COVID-19 pandemic through innovative service design combining the restorative effects of the natural environment with the best of mental health and wellbeing practices.
Sandra is very passionate in her role at the camp helping develop physically healthy, resilient, independent, compassionate and happy children.

MARK BETTS CHAIRMAN
Mark has over 30 years experience in executive leadership in project engineering. With 40 years association with the Portsea Camp before becoming chairman.

As a Champion, you will play a crucial role in creating posiitve change in the lives of young individuals.
This program is a community-driven initiative aimed at rallying support from businesses, service clubs, foundations and donor networks to help raise funds fo regional children to experience the transformative benefits of a holiday camp.
Our Champions play a crucial role in supporting regional children and schools, insuring they have the opportunity to experience the joy and growth that camp provides as a champion, you will actively contribute to the well-being and resilie of children facing unprecedented challenges in their lives.

Our camps offer an opportunity for kids to connect, make friends and build a supportive network.

Families are first responders, including fire, ambulance medical teachers and police often experience stress are first responders recharge program supports an entire family for a week long holiday by the sea, offering a muchneeded opportunity to rest, recharge and connect.

5 we ask you to encourage direct pleasures that sponsors a child in one of the following ways; a three day camp experience - $500 a five day camp experience - $800 transport to camp - $200
This fact sheet will describe the unique needs a first responder families highlighting the positive impact of a $2000 donation bringing an entire family for a week long holiday by the sea

1. Consider your personal, professional and community networks and who would be interested to pledge support for local children or local schools

Open a discussion with them or send them some information from your Champion pack along with a pledge form.

Reach out to your local school, community health centre, SES, Service clubs, or Headspace in your town and ask them to be involved in pledging their support or nominate children who would benefit from holiday camps.
