After moving and traveling with the military during their first ten years of marriage, Sydney and Will Hewitt saw a need for thoughtfully designed, sustainable products made with locally sourced materials. Sydney, an Auburn University trained Industrial Designer, and Will, a West Point alum and former helicopter pilot, put their skills to use and launched Coast & Cotton in the summer of 2015. It quickly became a fulltime job for them both. What started with a few locally-inspired designs has grown to several thousand that tell the story of favorite places and pastimes across America.

Sydney, Will, and their three children now reside in Auburn, Alabama where they run their design and print operation, employing students from Sydney’s alma mater and locals from the surrounding community.

About Our Towels

Our 100% American-made towels are produced with cotton that is grown, milled, and sewn within a few hundred miles of our Auburn, AL print shop. They are made by the world’s leading manufacturers of spun yarn and textile mills.

Each design is printed with eco-friendly, water-based dyes and individually heat cured for colorfastness. Our towels are very absorbent, soft to the touch, and will quickly become your favorite.

Pricing & Ordering

All towels are $10.50 wholesale. MSRP is $22 - $24.

Minimum opening order is 48 towels, minimum 6 per design. Custom minimums vary; see custom section and category sidebars for details. There are no setup or design fees, ever.

Grown

Our towels are made from the highest quality cotton available from local farms across the southeastern US.

Milled

Our raw cotton is spun, woven, and washed in the Carolinas to our exact specifications.

Sewn

Each Coast & Cotton towel is carefully sewn and inspected by an experienced team of individuals paid competitive wages.

Designed

Sydney draws all of our designs. Whether an everyday pattern or custom collaboration, she is always adding something new to the collection.

Printed

There is little to no waste in our process; we print to order. Any towels that do not meet our quality standards are donated to local non-profit organizations.

Wrapped

Every one of our towels is wrapped with care using a wide array of color-coordinating ribbon. They are ready to display right out of the box.

Do you custom design for one-time events?

Yes. Whether adding a logo to an existing design or drawing something new, our towels are the perfect favor for weddings, charity events, corporate functions, etc. Just let us know what you need, and we’ll take it from there.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders placed at any show or market should expect 2-3 weeks for delivery, unless otherwise specified. Reorders typically take 3-5 business days. We do not rely on anyone outside of the US for any component of our towels or packaging, so we do not anticipate any supply chain disruptions or delays at this time.

We are interested in selling your products in our online store. Is this ok? We welcome all of our brick and mortar retailers to sell our towels in their online store. Please let us know if we can provide any images or information to help feature Coast & Cotton on your website. We do ask that our products not be sold in third party resellers at this time.

How do you recommend caring for Coast & Cotton hand towels? Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Our towels are meant to be used!

Are your products made in the US?

Yes, our towels are 100% made in America from cotton that is grown, milled, and sewn within a few hundred miles of our shop in Auburn, AL. Every tag, ribbon and packaging component is made in the US as well.
