SPRING 2017

WELCOME moving you Welcome to our new season and new look brochure, capturing the spirit and energy of spring! As we say farewell to 2016’s 20th birthday celebrations we look forward to the future to imagine what’s next! One thing is certain, our commitment to bringing you the most current new dance, theatre, circus and comedy will continue. This spring sees the return of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance with the dynamic, arresting duet Material Men redux accompanied by live music from the Smith Quartet – what a treat! We welcome ‘funny, heart-breaking and human’ Vamos Theatre with The Best Thing – a nostalgic, bitter sweet look at the swinging sixties. To delight your senses and entertain the whole family, we are thrilled to be presenting The Hogwallops from Lost in Translation as our circus and aerial programme continues to go from strength-to-strength.

We are very proud to be profiling our current Associate Artists this season with New Year treat The Nature of Forgetting by Theatre Re – a swell of live music, physical theatre and poignant storytelling about what it means to forget. Young emerging dance voice James Finnemore will present his beautiful and sensitive BLOOM taking us to an other-worldly place. There are a host of opportunities to get involved in our programme – come and meet the artists at pre and post-show talks, watch artists in action at Open Space, take up our ‘Beyond the Stage’ offer and take a look at all of the classes we have on offer. We are looking forward to Moving You.
