PEABODY AVENUE & CLOSE RESIDENTS VISIT WARWICK CASTLE In March 2019 residents of Peabody Avenue and Close were awarded small grants funding by The Pilmico Million Partnership for a day trip to Warwick Castle and Stratford Upon Avon for local residents. The trip took place on Saturday the 6th of July and residents enjoyed good weather on their visit. Warwick Castle was packed with interesting things to do, both inside and out, and residents explored the Battlements, towers, turrets, awesome interiors and the Great Hall. Children and families on the trip also enjoyed the interactive attractions and walk-through adventures including a new Horrible Histories Maze. Plus a highlight of the day was the spectacular birds of prey display. Everyone came home tired but happy and now the community is planning their next trip away.

COMMUNITY EVENTS & FUN DAYS The Pimlico Million has making the most of the sunny weather, working with local residents associations across the area to support them in producing fun and engaging community events and outdoor activities which bring residents together celebration of their neighbourhoods. In June we funded two Great Get Together events, one at Ebury Bridge produced by One Big Family, and the other at Churchill Gardens Estate produced by Churchill Gardens Residents Association. Pimlico Million Manager Jane and Chair Jason were out and about at Gatliff Close, and Wellington and Chelsea buildings on the 10th of July offering tea and cakes and chatting to residents about their ideas for projects to improve their neighbourhood. It was lovely to see so many new faces and hear your wonderful ideas, which we hope to implement. We were also pleased to Partner with Ebury Bridge Residents Association, Ebury Regen Team, Pimlico Toy JOIN THE PEABODY AVENUE GARDENING GROUP Library and SouthWestFest to hold a community fun afternoon on the 14th of July at Ebury Bridge Estate, which included Shambush's Space Camp and African drumming classes! And last but not least we hosted our own Out of this World fun afternoon at Churchill Gardens Estate Square and Hall on the 20th of July, joining SouthWestFest in a finale celebration at the end of their 3 week festival.
