ON Friday Councillor Michael Pietersen handed out over 50 goodie bags to the needy children of Heinz Park. The handover took place at a local orphanage run by Rose Claasen. She welcomed the visit by Pietersen, and said the kind gesture had brought smiles to many faces. Pietersen was joined by Thembeka

Mqengqele, a Community Development Worker (CDW), who praised the councillor’s initiative and support for the community. He appealed to the community to assist the orphanage, which needs building materials and struggles with day-to-day needs. Anyone who can assist can contact Pietersen on 084 672 8686.

THANK YOU: Councillor Michael Pietersen hands out goodie bags to the children.
