Paris Titans derailed with avoidable penalties

The first period of the October 20th match between the Tavistock Braves and the Paris Titans, was an entertaining display of hockey ending in a Titan goal to tie the score at one Goalie Josh Roman was steady in goal and Tyler Crisostomo potted the tying goal. The second period started off with Tavistock scoring a goal in the first 10 seconds of the period. By the 4:45 mark the Titans got derailed with avoidable penalties and over the next two periods, they collected Unsportsmanlike Conduct, Roughing, Fighting, and Disrespectful/Abusive Behaviour penalties No doubt their opponents were as guilty with their own list of infractions, but for the Titans to win, they have to keep their heads up and avoid penalties that put the team at a disadvantage on the ice. In the end, the Titans lost the game 7-3.

On October 21st , the Titans visited the Hespeler Shamrocks with a shortened bench likely due to suspensions, added another loss to their record, with 4-2 score Simon Otaki and Eathen Bush scored Paris’goals.

The Paris Titans are taking a lot of avoidable penalties and it’s putting the young team at a disadvantage.

Goalie Ryan Burroughs was steady and calm in net, stopping 36 of 37 shots on net and Tyler Crisostomo scoring two goals, one of them being a short-handed goal on a penalty kill.

Crisostomo, currently the team leading scorer, feels that more wins are coming and a climb in in the standings is inevitable. based on a dressing room full of players that are still remaining positive on their ability to get wins together and catch up the team that are ahead in the standings. Other scorers were Bhrett Hibbert and Oen Lalonde

The Hespeler Shamrocks came back to Paris on October 27th and this time Paris secured the 4-1 win. Hespeler is back in Paris again tonight, at the Brant Sports Complex, puck drops at 7:30 pm
