S P O RT S Paris team brings home Silver Medals from Silver Stick Tournament!
The U11 Rep Team, sponsored by Pelton Transportation, plays well under pressure and proved that a lot of energy and hard work really does pay off. The team collected silver medals from the Canadian Regionals (aka the International Silver Stick Tournament) in Alvinston Ontario over the holidays.
the West London Hawks in 9-2 that earned the team a bye into the semi-finals. Colson Baker was on fire scoring four goals to earn the MVP title. The team started Saturday off with a bang, collecting a 5-1 win over West London in the semi-finals. Maddex Heintzman was awarded MVP for the game.
Paris handily won game won against Lambeth Lancers with a 72 victory. Jack Corbett, who put up two goals (as did teammate Landon Speagle) was awarded MVP for this game. Next up, the Wolfpack dominated
The highly anticipated finals was against a tough Ilderton Jets team. Paris faced Ilderton earlier in the season during an exhibition game where the two teams battled it out in a 1-1 tie so everyone knew the
game would be intense, challenging everyone to bring their A game on the ice. The Wolfpack battled through a few injuries throughout the game and never gave up. After a backand-forth exchange of goals, Paris lost a close 4-3 game. Johnathan Dixon earned the MVP title. Honourable mentions goes out to both goalies Will Balkwill and Connor Brittain for fending off the opponents allow Paris’ offense to shine.
