COMMUNITY NEWS The County of Brant is seeking feedback on the proposed 2024 Budget and Long-term Financial Plan
MEDIA RELEASE County of Brant, ON – Beginning Monday, January 8, 2024, the County of Brant is asking for community feedback regarding the proposed 2024 budget The budget will outline priorities, respond to the needs of a growing community, and set the direction for work to be completed over the upcoming year. "We are committed to ensuring that our budget and financial planning processes reflect the needs and aspirations of our diverse community,” said County of Brant General Manager of Corporate Services, Heather Boyd. “The input we receive from residents and businesses is an invaluable reflection of our community’s priorities and assists us in making informed decisions that will shape the future of the County."

Engage Brant website at www.EngageBrant.ca/2024Budg et to learn more about the proposed 2024 Budget and provide their comments and questions. Online engagement closes on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 4:30 pm.
County of Brant Council has also directed Staff to undertake the development of a Long-term Financial Plan (LTFP), to inform spending decisions over the next 10 years that help ensure financial sustainability and resilience in the face of evolving challenges and opportunities
"Planning for the future is essential for municipalities to thrive,” said County of Brant Mayor, David Bailey. “A well-developed longterm financial plan not only ensures stability and security for the community but also paves the way for sustainable growth and prosperity for generations to come."
