The Cup returns to Ayr during friendly rivalry spiel between Paris & Ayr

Last weekend members of the Paris Curling Club participated in the 7th Annual P'Ayr'is Cupthe annual 2-day challenge between the Paris and the Ayr Curling Clubs Each club brings a roster of 32 players, and a Club Coach who divides those players amongst teams to compete across many different game formats. This year the friendly bonspiel included regular games, tankard style, skins, and doubles games. After Paris won the 2023 iteration, club members headed to Ayr with big targets on their backs, and the Ayr contingent came out pressing hard to take back the Cup This year, the Paris team was composed of a handful of experienced curlers as well as some newer members who came together to represent the PCC and to try and defend the title While some of our players worked through figuring out the ice (after all, for many of them this was the first time curling somewhere other than the PCC), and how to gel with their new teammates, the Ayr folks came out swinging (actually, sweeping). They got out to an early lead that they would never surrender and would end up winning the 2024 P'Ayris' Cup challenge. Paris Curling Club photos
