“We know the countless hours, and energy that these volunteers put in throughout the year,” said Stacey Ellins, Director of Parks and Recreation for the County of Brant. “The quality of life in the County of Brant is truly enhanced by the volunteers who provide opportunities to residents.”
In past years, the County of Brant Parks and Recreation team would recognize County of Brant recreation program volunteers at a certificate ceremony held at County of Brant Council chambers. This year’s event was an opportunity to expand on the volunteers that were previously recognized and include those who run community-run recreational programs, services and events. The event will move to an annual format and include criteria in the recipient selection process.
