JASON KEITH BREWER
KNOX, IN - Jason Keith Brewer, 46, died Monday, June 30, 2025 at his home. He was born September 26, 1978 in Knox, Indiana to the late Roger Brewer and Debbie (Bays) Long.
Jason loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the band 30 South.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly (Hasting) Brewer, his mother, Debbie Long, step father, Randall Long and grandmother, Irene Brewer, all of Knox.
No service will be held per Jason’s request. Interment will take place in the Oak Park Cemetery in Knox at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.
ELAINE ANNETTE LEMAN
MONTROSE, CO - FORMERLY OF FRANCESVILLE, IN - Elaine Annette Leman, 76, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 28, 2025 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born August 28, 1948 in Plymouth, Indiana to Glenn A. and Betty J. (Corl) Eldridge. On July 31, 1971 in Francesville, she married David Leman.
Elaine was a 1966 graduate of Francesville High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Cedarville College. She was a faithful pastor’s wife and was an elementary school teacher for nearly 40 years. She was an American Patriot, US Marine Corps Mom and a Prayer Warrior while her son was fighting in the Middle East. She cherished her Christian Faith, family, friends, flowers, Florida and flamingos.
She is survived by her husband, David, one son, Brian Leman of Montrose, one daughter, Melissa (Kevin) McDaniel of Palisade, Colorado, her mother, Betty J. Eldridge of Francesville and two brothers: Dennis (Evelyn) Eldridge of Springfield, Illinois and Kent (Mandy) Eldridge of Francesville. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn, one grandchild, Baby McDaniel and grandparents: Ezra Eldridge, Lena Eldridge Coffel and Everett and Bertha (Flory) Corl.
Services were held Saturday, July 5 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel with Pastor Bill McNabney officiating. Burial was in the Roseland Cemetery in Francesville. Memorials may be made to the LifeWise Academy at West Central.

PHYLLIS ANN SUMMEY
KNOX, IN - Phyllis Ann Summey, 81, died Sunday, June 29, 2025 in La Porte, Indiana. She was born May 10, 1944 in Gypsy, Kentucky to the late Lewis Whitaker and Lavotis Whitaker Minix.
Phyllis loved to play bingo, going to yard sales, shopping, sewing and going to casinos. She worked retail sales and owned a drapery store.
She is survived by one son, Victory (Troy) Gayheart of Plainwell, Michigan, one daughter, Lavotis French of Knox, Indiana, one brother, Wiley Jay Howard of Knox and four sisters: Ellen Whitaker of Plainwell, Wanda Dugard of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rita Long and Donna (Craig) Stiles, both of Plymouth, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, two sons: Jessie Dube Patrick and Corbin Smooch Gayheart and siblings: Henry Whitaker, Pauline Gill, Betty Gayheart, Barbara Risner and Carol Jean Risner.
Services were held Tuesday, July 8, at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ted Dilts officiating. Interment was in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.
LARRY LEE CLEMONS
NORTH JUDSON, IN - Larry Lee Clemons, 57, died Thursday, June 5, 2025 at his home. He was born November 5, 1967 in La Porte, Indiana. Larry loved all animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed hunting mushrooms, ginseng and antiques and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Micheal, two grandsons and one sister, Kristina Marie (Robert Shane) Scutchfield. He was preceded in death by one son, Richard James Clemons and his parents, George O. and Donna Jean (Vires) Clemons.
A memorial will be held at the United Baptist Church on Hwy. 39 on Saturday, July 12 at 11am with Pastor Ed Trusty.
HENRY JAMES RISNER
MEDARYVILLE, IN - Henry James
“Hank” Risner, 91, died Saturday, June 28, 2025 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Indiana. He was born September 18, 1933 in North Judson, Indiana to the late Fred and Dora (Jackson) Risner. On October 16, 1954 he married Alvina Mae Hunter. She died December 6, 2019.
Hank was a 1951 graduate of Medaryville High School. He and his wife owned and operated Hank’s Standard Service Station and Wrecker Service in Medaryville for over 30 years. They also ran Hanks Melons and Granny’s Attic for many years. He also drove a school bus for nearly 30 years for Medaryville and later for West Central High School. Hank and his wife were part of the first EMTs to serve Pulaski County. He was a veteran of the US Army and the US Army Reserves and a member of the Medaryville American Legion Post #96. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Church in Medaryville and in recent years attended the Medaryville Assembly of God Church. He was a 50 year member of the Medaryville Fire Department and served three decades as Fire Chief and was a member of the Indiana Volunteer Fireman’s Association and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department Merit board. He loved his family and the Medaryville community very much.
He is survived by three sons: Gale (Deb) Risner and John (fiancée Angie Casey) Risner, both of Lafayette, Indiana and Dennis (Theresa) Risner of Francesville, Indiana, two daughters: Nancy (Bud) Blackburn of Idaville, Indiana and Peggy (Darren) Godsey of Williams, Indiana, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one sister, Norma Jean Clark of Argos, Indiana. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward and Ralph Risner.
Services were held Tuesday, July 8 at the Medaryville Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery in Medaryville. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Cemetery, the Medaryville Assembly of God Church, Medaryville White Post Township Fire Department or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

ALICE JEAN BECKER
NOBLESVILLE, IN - FORMERLY OF WINAMAC, IN - Alice Jean Becker, 92, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at her home. She was born August 28, 1932 in Delphi, Indiana to the late Charles and Margaret O. (Gerner) Hein. On November 3, 1951 in Winamac, she married Eugene Paul “Gene” Becker. He died on May 24, 2006.
Jean was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and was active with the Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity. In recent years, she has attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cicero, Indiana. She raised chickens and fresh vegetables to sell. She was a custodian at Winamac High School and retired from Eaton’s in 1999.
She is survived by one son, Kaye (Pamela) Becker of Plymouth, Indiana, four daughters: Debra (Michael) Hineline of Noblesville, Paula (Thomas) Conley of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary (Scott) Salisbury of Enid, Oklahoma and Carey (Jeff) Becker-Walker of Shakopee, Minnesota, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by five sisters: Dorothy Irene O’Donnell, Ruth Marie Dawson Swayze, Mary Elizabeth Fritz, Mildred Marquis and Roseann Ols and five brothers: Infant Donald Charles, William J., Harry , Jerry and Charles R. Hein.
Visitation from 3-7pm EDT on Monday, July 14 at Frain Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held at 11am EDT on Tuesday, July 15 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Rowland officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac. Memorials may be made to Riley Hospital Foundation. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
