Woodlawn Hospital nominated for America’s most beautiful hospital
The Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester has been nominated for America’s Most Beautiful Hospital contest. This contest is sponsored by the national health care staffing firm, Soliant Health.
Voting for the contest opened Thursday, June 22, and will run till Thursday, July 27. You can vote for Woodlawn on soliant.com/mostbeautiful-hospital-contest/.
There are 50 hospitals in the running to be one out of 20 of America’s most beautiful hospitals. The contest recognizes these hospitals’ commitment to developing and improving their campuses, facilities and staff.
“Hospital beauty is more than just its physical design and appearance; it is the health care staff who create the heart and soul of the hospital through genuine connections with patients,” said Soliant CEO David Alexander. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase hospitals for their nurturing staff, comforting aesthetics and innovative designs, which contribute to the overall well-being of patients.”
Soliant began this program in 2009 and has recognized more than

150 outstanding hospitals. Woodlawn was selected for its beautiful wooded grounds and excellent patient service.
The annual contest is held to discover hospitals in the United States that prove beauty is more than skin deep; it starts from within and radiates through by making patients feel more comfortable, healing them faster and treating them like family. Whether it’s soothing art and design, a healing garden to make a hospital feel more like home, or the support of the top-notch staff who know that love and laughter may be the best medicine, Soliant seeks out nominations and votes from community members and staff for those hospitals they feel best represent this beauty.
Soliant Health will donate $5,000 to the winning hospital’s foundation.
