VIVALDI SOCIAL CARE MONTHLY

VIVALDI Social Care has officially entered its data collection phase, marking an important milestone in its mission to enhance our understanding of infection risks, immunity, and overall well-being in care settings

This large-scale research initiative, designed to gather valuable insights from care providers, staff, and residents, aims to inform policies and best practices that will improve care quality and resilience in the sector. By collecting data from diverse care settings, the study will provide a clearer picture of challenges and opportunities within social care

In our next edition, we will hear directly from care providers who have participated in the study They will share their experiences with the data collection process, discuss the benefits of contributing to vital research, and reflect on how such studies can positively impact the future of social care. Their insights will offer a first-hand perspective on the importance of research-driven improvements in care environments.

Stay tuned for these valuable stories and updates on the progress of VIVALDI

"Everyone agreed that they would like to be involved to support the health and wellbeing of residents.”

We were delighted to hear from Louise Beaumont, Director of Quality & Care at Sheffcare, who operate 9 residential and dementia care homes across Sheffield, and when the VIVALDI project came along this was discussed with all the managers and everyone agreed that they would like to be involved to support the health and wellbeing of residents.

Louise said “We have worked closely with the residents and families to inform them of the project and how valuable the data will be in supporting the longer-term health and awareness of resident’s needs on a national level up to now we have not had any residents wishing to opt out of the project.”

“The Board report features regular updates on the VIVALDI project which reflects our commitment to the project and providing high quality care.”

“This month we will be discussing the VIVALDI project at a local event hosted by Sheffield City Council contracts team at their request so we can share best practice with the care sector and hopefully encourage more homes to sign up to the project.”

“In June 2025 we have extended an invite to the VIVALDI project team to visit us so we can continue to talk about VIVALDI and how we are supporting this worthwhile project.”

Engaging care home staff, residents, and families through coproduction fosters innovation and meaningful progress in care. Open dialogue ensures all voices are valued, creating more responsive and compassionate services. By working together, we can build stronger, safer, and more supportive care communities for the future.
