Artist Statement My work explores the relationship between good and evil and copycat violence. With influences as diverse as Man Ray and Olafur Elaisson, new variations are crafted from both traditional and modern dialogues. Ever since I was a postgraduate I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of the zeitgeist. What starts out as contemplation soon becomes finessed into a manifesto of temptation, leaving only a sense of unreality and the unlikelihood of a new beginning. As shimmering forms become reconfigured through emergent and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the limits of our existence.
