ALEX CONSANI
The cover of our September issue, featuring Alex Consani, represents not only inclusion and diversity, but also different expressions and visions of femininity.

Women are different, but that does not make them any less feminine. Alex is a great example of this, due to her journey of discovering who she truly is. A strong, brilliant, and successful woman, just as we all can be.

Redefining Industry Standards Rare Beauty: Selena Gomez
“Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I've stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me.”
-Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez founded Rare Beauty in September 2020 with a very specific goal in mind. Known by some as Disney’s child star,, Gomez has opened up on how being raised in the spotlight had some not-soglamorous effects on her mental health. As she began battling anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, Gomez began to realize how unrealistic beauty standards had become for young women.

"I wanted to create a whole lane in the makeup world that was also centered around mental health."
February 4, 2020, Gomez announced that she would launch her brand, “Rare Beauty,” in the upcoming summer. Her mission ws simple- to redefine the oppressive beauty standards women were facing., and allow them to embrace their individuality and mental wellness. September 3 , the brand was finally launched with a line stretching across 14 makeup categories, including a line of foundation available in 48 different shades, reflecting Gomez’s mission of promoting individuality and diversity. rd
Rare Beauty, to this day, has committed 1% of all sales to the Rare Impact Fund, a foundation dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of mental health. Rare Beauty remains one of the most influential makeup brands in the industry, with over $400 million dollars in net sales. Gomez’s mission
remains rooted in the foundations of the brand as she speaks out on the importance of individuality and mental health support.

Because confidence smells Because confidence smells sweet and feels like silk sweet and feels like silk

Alessandra Ambrosio
This edition of Vogue fits perfectly with our issue, because Brazil is a country known for its non-sexualized sensuality, in which women can express themselves without fear, celebrating who they truly are.

Brazil also has several iconic and very successful women, such as the famous models Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrósio, who appears on the cover, and many others.
To adapt our issue's concept to this international market, we decided to incorporate Brazilian women-owned brands in ads, rather than exclusively American brands, embracing the country's culture and respect for femininity. Translation:

“THE NEW ERA OF FEMININITY Fashion | Beauty | Lifestyle | Runways | Celebrities”

Ladurée SoHo Garden is the perfect location for our issue's event because, as well as being accessible to the public, this place emanates feminine energy, and by having a tea party, this femininity can be celebrated.
Celebrity women will also be invited to the event, and people will need to pay for their seat. All the money raised will then be donated to the Global Fund for Women, an organization that supports women ' s rights worldwide, focusing on issues such as domestic violence, economic empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health.
