Go-karting. my first race.

On March the first I went to Buckmore Park for the first round of the go-karting Cadet championship where Jenson Button & Lewis Hamilton learnt to race go-karts.

It was a bit early in the morning and there were different heats and in the first heat I was in pole position.

Next there were finals a, b and c.

Normally I would qualify in final b .

In heat 4 [my first heat ] I started in 4th behind 1 2 3.

We had 3 practice laps to get used to the kart then it was the first heat of the season I got into second into turn one then at the first hairpin I got into first and I couldn’t believe that really just happened! I won the first heat.

Onto heat 7‌ I started in pole position but nothing really happened I just won the same as heat nine!

Now for the final !!!!

I started on pole.

Into turn one I led all the way to the finish

and I won. I thought I was done for the day but I got called up for the A final.

I started in last I got up into 7 and fought for sixth and finished in sixth.

WHAT A DAY !!

My Unusual Pets by James in 4SA Do you have any pets? You might have a cat or a dog maybe both?

My pets are quite unusual I have a pair of bearded dragons, they're a type of lizard.

I interviewed my dad about the bearded dragons.

Why are they called bearded dragons?

They have scales that look like a beard under their chin when they're intimidated they spread their beard out. They also look like mini dragons!

What sort of environment do they need to live in?

They have to live in a hot and dry place. We keep them in a special tank called a vivarium.

What do they eat?

They eat fruit and veg they also eat insects like locusts and mealworms.

How old are they and how long will they live for?

They are about 5 years old and they live to about 15.

Are they fully grown , or will they get bigger?

They'll get a little bit bigger and they're quite big already.

What do you like about the bearded dragons?

They are easy to handle and they are really friendly.

Lambing Weekend at Hadlow College 11.3.17

I went to lambing weekend today. I went with mummy and daddy and Fiona. We went by car. It was sunny and mild.

There were lots and lots of people there. There was a shed called a lambing shed. Everybody was pushing to see the sheep.

There were lambs and ewe. Some of the lambs were tiny.

Some of the lambs were pregnant and were carrying 2 or 4 lambs.

As we came in we saw alpacas in a field eating green grass. I enjoyed my day at lambing weekend. I wanted to go on the play bus so I will play on the bus next time.

HARRY POTTER This book is so magical it will blow your mind! Ron , Harry and Hermione get up to many many adventures in this book here they are‌ Crash!

Their first adventure is when they crash ;crash what? A plane, a broomstick? No a flying car!

Dobby (the house elf) Dobby is Lucius Malfoy’s servant and if he gives clothes to Dobby, Dobby is free and he will not be a servant forever.

Feasts At Hogwarts they have a lot of feasts! Feasts , feasts wonderful feasts for: breakfast , luncheon time and supper but it’s mainly used for… PARTIES! Voldermort or Tom? Did you know that Tom (from 50 long years ago) is actually Vol, I mean you know who or is it you know who is tom? I don’t know but, you probably do what do you think?

Moaning Myrtle (the girls’ toilet ghost) Did you know they had a toilet ghost at Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry? I bet you did not ,but you know now so that’s good…or is it?

Tom’s(very secret) diary Did you know Tom had(a very secret) diary and that is how Harry killed him.

By stabbing the diary with a poisonous fang. The fang belonged to a Bulisk (a snake) The Bulisk(a GIANT snake) Have you ever herd of a Bulisk? Well listen then and get comfy, here it is… A Bulisk is basically a GIANT snake it has rows and rows of poisonous fangs and only a phoenix’s tears can cure it and Harry(luckily) has a Phoenix beside him.

Dobby’s freedom Do you remember Dobby? Good, because here he is again … At the end Harry gives the diary to Mr Mallfoy and Mr Mallfoy throws a sock at Dobby and Dobby caches it and Dobby puts it on… And he is free!(at last) A close death Do you think Hogwarts is all smiles and stuff? Well, you’re wrong Harry nearly got killed by Voldermort\ Tom.

Would you be Harry Potter or not?

If you went to Hogwarts who would you be? Ron, Hermione or even Harry. There are so many to choose. I would be Fred because he(and Gorge) are mischievous and funny.

Bye bye As we come to the end I would just like to say a BIG thank you for reading hope you’ve enjoyed the Harry Potter roller coaster of fun and this is not the only book oh no there are 5 more of these books so look out for the rest of them and bye.

The Goblet of fire This book is outstanding! (even without Quiditch!)

The Tri-wizard tournament When Harry gets to Hogwarts he finds out that there is no Quiditch on, I know what you’re thinking no Quiditch? But it was replaced with… the tri-wizard tournament!

The first task Do you see the dragon above me? Good, good why? Well I’ll tell you why because that’s what Harry has to face in the first task (to get the golden egg) The surprise What do you think was in the (golden) egg? Well it was a scream… or was it?

The second task So what do you think the scream meant? Well when Harry put it under water it said… Well I won’t tell you because it will ruin the surprise.

The third task So what do you think the third task was? Well it was a simple maze with no dead bodies. Wrong someone did die (but not our Mr. Potter ).

Our trip to Devon

By Tom, 6JP To build resilience (but also to have a brilliant time), Year Six spent a week at Colehayes Park in Devon. Whilst we were there, a countless number of extremely enjoyable activities took place. Of all of these, the trip to Woodlands Leisure Park was by far the most memorable.

With my stomach satisfied by a bacon butty, I eagerly boarded the coach on the morning of the penultimate day. Upon reaching our destination, the year group hauled their bags into a colossal soft-play centre.

Having conquered my fears and thrown myself down a five metre drop slide, I exited the building – what a thrill! Thankfully, the inevitable torrential rain held off as we headed for the flumes. Once at the top of the huge waterslides, Jamie and I wedged ourselves into a large inflatable dinghy; this was when the fun started.

From then on we had an absolute blast whilst barrelling down the flumes. There was just one problem: our bottoms got soaked!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the residential trip and I wish I could go back to Devon again.
