The Nueva Current

The official student newspaper of The Nueva School. Produced by students in the Upper School journalism class. Founded in 2017, The Nueva Current is a two-time National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Pacemaker Award winner (2022, 2024) and three-time Pacemaker Finalist (2020, 2022, 2023). The newspaper has twice received an All-American distinction in the critique and is a two-time Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Crown recipient (2023, 2024). Printed three times a semester, the newspaper is led by a student editor-in-chief and an editorial leadership team, and the staff works on all aspects of the newspaper, including story development, writing and reporting, layout and graphic design, and photography.
