Parade celebrates graduating seniors from Marysville, Tulalip By Christopher Andersson christopher@northcountyoutlook.com Marysville School District graduating seniors rode through Marysville and Tulalip to celebrate their commencement on May 29. Students rode along a route that took them to all four local high schools and through much of the Marysville community. Residents and parents came out along the route to wave signs and cheer them on. Graduating high school seniors from Marysville and Tulalip were celebrated during a parade on May 29.

Marysville Rotary held a blood drive with the American Red Cross to increase the blood supply during a critical time for many hospitals. The local service club

held their blood drive on June 4. Rick McCarthy, president of the Marysville Rotary, said that blood is still needed at many hospitals. "There is a definite need for blood right now," said

AHS Flight Choir releases 'Rise Up' performance in support of anti-racism By Christopher Andersson christopher@northcountyoutlook.com Arlington High School's Flight Choir released a 'digital choir' performance of the song 'Rise Up' in solidarity with protests going on around the nation. The video is available at https://bit.ly/3h03P54. After the death of George Floyd while he was in custody of a Minnesota police department, activists across the country have gathered in cities to protest, often for multiple days in a row. The local Flight Choir had already been

practicing the song 'Rise Up' for the school's graduation ceremony. "When we first went to online learning we were looking for different songs we could perform for graduation," said Heidi Forslund, choir director at the school. "We had been practicing the song 'Rise Up' before these events happened," she said. Forslund had given the students the song weeks ago and said at the time everyone loved it.
