In the black community, a stigma has been cast upon us that fatherhood is a myth. Just like all groups of people regardless of color, culture, or religion we all have similar stories and misfortunes. A child having his/her father in their life to guide them through the ups/downs and curve balls life throws at them is impactful. But it means even more when you have a father like this month’s Hometown Hero, Mr. Tim Topp, that’s willing to do whatever it takes to make sure his son has every opportunity possible to fulfill his dreams.
