High school band delivers top performance

Michael Simpson Staff Writer VCHS music teacher Bill Simpson’s pupils were a crowd pleaser at their yearend Christmas concert on December 20 with a combination of performances from regular and jazz band groups. The grade 7 band held their own with traditional numbers such as When the Saints Come Marching in and Jingle
Bells while the grade 8/9 band f leshed things out with catchy tunes such as Secret Agent Man and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Extra talent hiding in the wings came out to shine in the form of a vocal solo from Claudia Lillies and some expert solo work from Jillian Rogers on the flute, Zane Kordich on tenor sax See Story............................
