Alberta Pulse Growers meeting in Willingdon reveals the hopes of the organization for the coming year. Emily Mailhot Reporter – Vegreville News Advertiser On Friday, November 23, the Alberta Pulse Growers (APG), Alberta Barley Commission, and Alberta Wheat Commission held region 3 meetings throughout the day at the Willingdon Community Hall. D’Arcy Hilgartner, chair of the Alberta Pulse Growers, led the day off with a video message

from Leanne Fischbuch, Executive Director. She reported that it was a difficult year for Canadian pulse growers, due to India’s new tariffs on imported goods in 2017. “What India has taught us is that we need to diversify our markets more,” said Fischbuch. After regaling the members at the meeting
