Zone 7 Archery Alberta Winter Games Trials

The Zone 7 Alberta Winter Games Archery Trials were held in Lloydminster December 1. There were 22 archers aged from 12-17 from Northeast Alberta.

Five members of the Vegreville Wildlife Federation (VWF) Youth Archery program went to the trials and did very well.

Layne Lowes - Cub Compound Female 1st place Barret Scherger- Cub Compound Male 1st place Alexander Farkas - Cub Compound Male 2nd place Alec Ewanchuk- Cadet Male Compound 2nd place Carter Legan - Cadet Male Compound 4th place The first place winners will go to the Alberta Winter Games and the second place winners will become alternates.

Alberta Winter Games will be held during the February long weekend in Airdrie. The Zone 7 coaches are VWF youth archery coach, Jamie Lowes and former VWF archer Mikyla Miller (currently of Sherwood Park).
