Mystery man revealed in Epic Life Challenge 2.0 My name is Adam Kozakiewicz and I’m losing weight for St. Joseph’s Genera l Hospita l Foundation. I have decided to embark on this endeavor not only to lose weight and get into shape, but I hope to help our community. It is not only possible to lose the excess pounds but also to keep it off. With the help of our community’s health care professionals and you, I know I can do it. Our doctors along with you will be able to see my progress. At this point the doctors have created the first part of the plan, and the

formula is simple. Calories consumed, minus calories lost from exercise, equals weight gain or loss. Therefore, I will limit myself to about 2500 calories per day and start with at least two community walks every week. I have decided that I will limit the amount of sugar and bread I will consume to a minimum (I found that it helps with my mood and cravings). I will weigh myself every Monday morning at the hospital and report this to the paper and our doctors. In addition I want the community not only to donate per pound of

lost weight to the Hospital Foundation but also take active part by way of community walks and exercise. I will start by walking for about an hour twice a week on Monday and Thursday starting at 6pm by the Rotary clock downtown 50 Street and 50 Avenue. Please come out and join

The initial shock of seeing my current weight speaks for itself. It’s time for a change in my life, and working with local doctors and maintaining a strict caloric intake are going to be a big part of my weight loss efforts.

My initial weigh in on April 1 was at 426 lbs. 12 oz.

After a week of watching my weight and doing some modest beginning exercises, my weigh in on April 8 was 419 lbs. 8 oz.
